I stayed last week at this hotel for 4 nights while in a business trip to Shanghai. The room was extremely luxurious, well appointed and in a good location. The thing that I did not enjoy was the fact that I had to change rooms...More

I cannot specifically address the benefit of the club lounge tower you are asking about. I do not think my wife and I were in a special part of the hotel, and our room was spectacular by our standards. Regarding the breakfast buffet, it has everything you mentioned. It's a wide-ranging buffet that caters to western tastes. Plenty of juice, plenty of bacon and lots of other things. You won't go hungry unless you're an extremely picky eater. We spent 19 days in China on tour. Of all the western buffets, this was the largest and, in my opinion, best.
