Also goes by the name of Rock & Wood hostel. Good food, great rooms, amazing staff. Great hub to meet young travelers from all over, as well as private rooms for those seeking some peace and quiet. Mixed dorms were dirt cheap and well maintained, all your amenities, lobby was warm and welcoming. All in all a great homebase for...

We did not enjoy our 2 night stay in this hostel at all, perhaps we had high expectations. We slept in a double room with bathroom and the room was not great at all. It was nothing special, and it had a humid smell to it which was unfortunate. The staff did speak English which was very helpful.

The rooms are just ok, without windows, but it's pretty quiet. The amenities are good, breakfast is good, nice to hang out at the bar, it has an alternative feel overall and the price is OK. About 5 minutes walk to the subway.

My sister and I booked a room in advance, when we got to the hostel the room wasn't ready and we had to wait three hours after the check-in time! When we got the room we found out that it is really small - no place for our luggage, poorly maintained- the floor was dirty, the walls were peeling, and...

This place was great. You could walk from there to the Bund in no time at all and it was cheap as hell for Shanghai. If you don't like crowds, I recommend going to Shanghai during Spring festival. The rest of China is rammed with tourist, but Shanghai empties.

Dirty public washroom, a big turnoff. Luckily the shared toilet in room is still decent (depending on the people you stay with) There's a bar with snooker table, + point for that. Location is ok, subway station is nearby.

We stayed here 2 nights in June. When we checked in we got a room with molt on the ceiling. When we asked if we could have another room we were informed this could only happen in the evening as the room maid still needed to clean the room. We got a smaller, and even more dirty room with a...

Pros of this hostel are Wifi everywhere with an okay speed, lots of common space and reasonable prices. Cons are a lack of atmosphere and lots of noise. For example they let new guest enter the room at 9 am to leave their stuff, so you can't sleep much longer.

It's a nice place with reasonable price, near the subway, just 1-2 stops to the main places of Shanghai Staffs speak English & helpful. The guy helped to call taxi for us & also wake up us in early morning. They also adjusted the temporary when we felt cold. I like this place

Didn't enjoy staying here, When we got to our room the floor was soaking wet so we asked to change rooms but the next one they showed us was even worse. Location is a bit out of the way, first time it took a little while to find our way out of there. Main problem i had with this place...
