I just checked in to the Citadines Jinqiao Shanghai for an extended business trip. My first impression is not favorable. It reminds me of my youth staying at youth hostels in Europe. It is clean and efficient but not much more. There is no luxury here.

Dear Marco P Thank you for taking the time and effort to review us here. While I’m glad that you found us ‘clean and efficient’, I’m sorry to hear that our Citadines ‘apart-hotel’ feature reminded you of a hostel. FYI - we’re planning a partial renovation scheduled to commence later this year and we hope to be able to welcome...

The Citadines Jinqiao Shanghai was a nice apartment-style hotel located about 4 blocks from People's Square. The room was very acceptable although I didn't use any of the kitchen amenities. The bathroom was modern, spacious and clean. Beds (like most of China it seems) was a stiff but I can sleep anywhere. I was able to connect to free wifi...

The hotel is about 5 mins walk from People's park subway station. If you arrive in Pudong airport, just take the Maglev to Lou Yang and take the subway Line 2. Check in and out is quick. Breakfast is simple and adequate. There is free wi-fi in the lounge and there are 2 PCs with internet access if you want...

Stayed here in a 1-bedrm executive for 2 nights over the weekend. This is basically a no-frills hotel/apt so it will suit those who are not bothered by the lack of frills or the lacklustre breakfast. However, the location is very central and pricing is good. Positive points : Nanjing Road is just a street away with all the major...

Advantages: -Good location – close to the tube station (Peoples Square is the nearest one, exit 19 despite the location on the map), shopping area and the river. It takes about 15 minutes to The Band -Fair variety of breakfast menu if you like local food. From continental food they have bread, butter and jam. -Very polite staff but speaking...

We had the 1 bedroom executive with Radisson Hotel view and 1 deluxe bedroom with city view and a big terrace. The apart hotel is conveniently located close to some of Shanghai's most famous places, all within walking distance: the bund, People's Square, Nanjing Road. Simple, new, inexpensive if you book through internet (I used booking.com), clean Hotel, free internet...

Booked through internet, with an average $77 night, including breakfast. This is a fair price for being downtown Shanghai Pros: - central location - apartment style room with small kitchen - clean - good for business stay - on site launderette. (busy! do not expect to make the job in a few minutes!) - choice of restaurants in the close...

The Citadines Jinqiao Shanghai is mostly a business hotel: most of the guests have short term of a few days to a month business in Shanghai. They come dressed in office wear at breakfast room, rush to eat their meal, then dart off for work. It seems like nobody is enjoying their stay there except to sleep. I stayed in...

This is the third place that I have stayed in Shanghai. It is in the city center and very near the People's Square, The Shanghai Museum and shopping. The units are spacious even the efficiency unit. All come with kitchens, basic china &pots, etc. The beds are firm but comfortable, The linens are very clean. The pillows are VERY comfortable....
