another bargain basement serviced apartment in the same buiLding with the same kind of self contained apartment. found the service to be a bit better than the Lan' an as the check in guy could speak good English. Reception for this particular one is on the 9th floor. Rooms seem to be standard in this place (as I have stayed...

Got the rooms here at S$36/night, which was shockingly cheap for a 4-star hotel. Turned out to be too good to be true! Price remained the same, but I will grade it 2-star at best. Bed was creaky and pillows and mattresses were too soft. When extra pillows was requested for, no one could help u till the cleaner does...

My partner and I have been staying here for the last 10 days since we arrived in shanghai and will continue to live here for the next since months as my partner will be working in shanghai. Although the apartment upon first inspection seems like it could do with a lick of paint and a good clean, it is easy...

We love this hotel. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. The manager speaks excellent English and with the desk help she will understand and help if you just point or gesture what you want, no problem. We are a family of four with two teens. So much storage to hide suitcases and the window ledge will hold 3 large...

Staying in Zhongshan Park

Neighbourhood Profile
Zhongshan Park
The residential and commercial areas around the beautiful grounds of Zhongshan Park have never been considered particularly fashionable by a majority of Shanghai’s foreign residents, but plenty of expats do choose to live here. The park itself is a huge draw, providing a pocket of serenity in the middle of the metropolis. The area has its share of trendy shops with wares that can’t be found elsewhere, delicious restaurants with food ranging from fancy to affordable, and great hidden bars. Rents are also cheaper here than in other neighborhoods with the same conveniences. Aside from the obvious attractions, with its neighborhood fix-anything shops and pop-up street stalls that sell anything you need, you’ll never sacrifice Western comforts.
