We spent one in Hotel Casa Tago. Great place for first or last night in CR. Great value for money. Window to the corridor, but sufficient daylight through ceiling window. Breakfast is good and offers oppertunity for nice conversations with owners as well as other guests. Wifi Internet and a computer available. Good beds, but as other guests might leave... More

We recently spent an afternoon and overnight in Alajuela and were glad that we chose Casa Tago. As in previous reviews, the place is spotless, safe, five minute taxi ride to airport and Constanza and family are extremely friendly and accommodating. Well worth the money spent. We felt so relaxed for our first day in Costa Rica. I highly recommend... More

This family run a clean and comfortable place in Alejuela - the bes thing is them though. no matter what you ask they either know the answer or find out the answer - making a call or tow or more for you is absolutely no bother and they have all the bus timetables and anything else you might want. We flew into SJO late and had to be picked up in the morning at 530a to embark on a tour with Turtle Beach Lodge, so we basically got to this hotel and went to sleep. We slept very well! The accommodations were charming and simple, the bed super comfortable, and the owner extremely friendly. He woke up with us... More

My wife and I stayed at Casa Tago for 2 nights at the end of a wonderful 3 week trip from Panama City, up through Panama and then Costa Rica. It was our first experience of backpacking, and some of the hostels along the way were basic to say the least, so we were very pleased with the comfort and... More

We arrived as strangers - and never wanted to leave! The instant the door was opened we knew it was our casa away from home. We were warmly and sincerely greeted by the hostess, Constanza, of this charming B & B. Not knowing more than a few words of Spanish, imagine our surprise to hear "Hello, how are you" in... More

Our first week in Costa Rica we spent in Hotel Casa Tago. We both found it to be best value for money. We were in Room #4. Double bed, ensuite, hot water shower, TV and fans. Window opening to the corridor but the room was not too dark because daylight could get in through a kind of transparent pane in... More

Stayed at Casa Tago on the first and last nights of our trip. I am usually very hot, complain about not having AC, but the fan rooms here are more than adequate. Nice people are the key to this place. Each shift, we had fun talking to the staff, playing with their son. Location is just in the middle of... More
