We stayed here on our last night in Costa Rica as we had to be up early for our transfer to the airport. The staff are so incredibly friendly, the lady at check in was great, she was so smiley and warming! They also have a pool which was really refreshing and fun. We had dinner booked in the evening and we were the only ones there as we visited during the off-season. The only disappointment was that they didn’t cater very well at all for vegetarians. There were 2 salad options and 1 rice dish, when the rest of the menu is chicken or pork. This was really disappointing and we ended up just sharing some wedges, fries and garlic bread. To be fair, the fried and wedges are the best I’ve ever had!!! But it would have been nice to have an actual meal on our last night.

The cabins/rooms are set up really nice on the paths, they’re little self-contained buildings rather than a hotel room which was really nice. The shower was nice and hot and the interior was nice too. There were lovely little finishing touches like hand painted walls interior and exterior which was lovely.

All in all for the price, we had a great stay and would recommend this place for a stop if you’re in the area for the airport!

We stayed here two nights at the end of our vacation. The room was small for the four of us, but clean. There were very few guests and the desk attendant told us we would need to make a reservation if we wanted to eat in the restaurant. We chose to eat at the local sodas. The location provided many different places to eat. The pool was clean and the grounds were gorgeous. We had rented a car and had to be buzzed in and out each time we left or returned. This was difficult during rainstorms because you have to get out of the car to press the button to alert the attendant. Also, in our room, the wifi did not work. Due to how the rooms are set up, some do not have good signals.

This is maybe a 20 minute ride from the airport through congested streets. The grounds of the hotel are quite nice with a welcoming pool. The rooms are a bit dated with somewhat garish flourecent lighting, breakfast just OK, no free shuttle service

Really enjoyed the garden and nicely maintained rooms. Unpretentious family feel. Stayed on arrival and when we left. Friendly staff! The murals in every room are different, paintings everywhere that blend in with the flowers. Breakfast is basic but all you need.

We loved our stay here! I was organizing a group of 9 people to stay at Hotel La Rosa de America and they were beyond helpful with organizing us. Jessica and the others at the front desk were very thorough and quick to respond via email. They made everything very easy. They picked us all up from the aiport in 3 different groups. They even kept the kitchen open late so we could all eat. It was such a cute dining area with a delicious candle-lit dinner. The facilities were clean and the property was beautiful and tucked away. I would definitely stay here again.

A very nice place to stop for the night. Close to the airport but nothing like a big airport hotel. We were a large group and everyone had their own little "cabin" The grounds were beautiful and there was a pool for the children and a small area to eat meals. Breakfast was included. It wasn't fancy, but it was clean and quaint and a lovely start to our vacation. My luggage was lost at the airport and was delivered in the evening after I had gone to bed. The night caretaker oversaw the delivery and my bag was waiting for me in the morning. I would definitely stay here again. Jessica, at the front desk was very responsive to any emails I sent to her.

I never write reviews but I had to about this hotel. It was a wonderful night's stay and close to the airport but not in the 'city'. The grounds and pool were very nice, the breakfast was good, and the room was clean and comfortable. But best of all was the friendly staff - the receptionist Eileen was so helpful to us when we had a lot of trouble figuring out our SIM card for our cell phone - she went above and beyond translating for us, getting on the phone with customer service, and being patient with us! Definitely recommend this hotel!

We stayed one night here after our flight arrived before driving to Arenal. The room was comfortable and clean. AC worked perfectly fine. There is a restaurant Coco2 within walking distance that stays open a little later than most you can go get a drink or some food. The grounds are well landscaped and nice to walk around. Breakfast at the hotel was great to get the morning going before the long drive through the mountains. Overall would definitely stay here again.

This was one of the absolute most terrible place Ive ever stayed before. People were nice and pool was okay but the bedroom was another story. multiple bugs and dirty atmosphere. i got bit in my sleep and was not comfortable staying here. shower was also poorly designed and water flooded throughout the entire bathroom. no water or snacks were available and very few towels or basic hotel resources were provided. overall skip this hotel unless you want a dirty and bug infested stay.

Our family stayed here for a night to catch an early morning flight out. The lovely, garden-like grounds are well maintained with beautiful landscaping. The room was very clean, but not spacious for a family of four—my choice though to save a few dollars! We didn’t use the pool as it was raining and cool, but there is a wildlife rescue center/zoo in the neighborhood that made for an excellent late afternoon activity. Our flight was too early for us to have breakfast, which was included. What made our stay here exceptional was Jess…she went above and beyond in mailing my daughter’s glasses back to us. Excellent customer service!
