The most wonderful thing (and there are many) about this B&B is the family that owns it. Ronald and Iliana and children seem to anticipate your needs and wants before you mention them. The location in the lovely town of Grecia is surrounded with beautiful flora and fauna and is convenient to several interesting sites and other similar small towns, all with the ability to make everyone seem like a good friend. The property includes some motel like rooms and some cottages, all tastefully furnished and charming. A large breakfast is prepared every morning in the on-site restaurant and lunches and dinners for a very reasonable price are delicious. I consider myself lucky to have spent two weeks in glorious weather and among people that I consider good friends.

B&B Garden Grecia is my favorite place to stay in Grecia!
It is tucked away in a very natural and beautifully landscaped corner of Sta Gertrudis, but yet has convenient access to shops, restaurants, and the lovely nearby town of Grecia. I loved seeing the many fascinating birds that frequented the grounds, such as hummingbirds, parrots, Chachalacas and Blue Crowned MotMots. The sweeping views of the surrounding mountains are breathtaking! This is a very tranquil and soothing environment to stay for a night or for several months!

I stayed for three months in the ‘Casita’, and I enjoyed my stay very much. Ronald and Iliana were so helpful and friendly, and were always available to answer questions or help with any needs that came up. They are superb hosts! They welcome their guests like family!

The entire establishment is super-clean and nicely stocked with all the necessities.
The B&B rooms are luxurious, with huge baths and large, comfortable beds. There is a wonderful common area where breakfast is served, and this is such a comfortable and tranquil way to start the day. I can’t say enough good things about B&B Garden Grecia! This was my second visit, and I’m sure not the last!!

This place is a bit away from Grecia in a quiet area, with nice views of the surrounding hills. The rooms are spotless, there is a pool and a nice area for sitting, and cooking. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. This is a great place to stay for exploring the area.

We couldn't find our original bnb, so we called Ron in a panic. Luckily he did have a room for us. More panic as we couldn't find his place (we had just arrived in CR). We parked in the town square and he came and got us!!! An awesome example of CR hospitality. He and his wife are the best! And she's a great cook too!

Our experience this past May and June, 2014 at the B&B Garden Grecia was outstanding! The property and its surroundings was most relaxing and enjoyable. The grounds are beautifully landscaped filled with fruit trees. Hummingbirds are plentiful, as well as other colorful birds. It is a very safe location, family oriented, clean, with all the amenities (cable tv, wi-fi, hot water, etc), and just minutes away from downtown Grecia. Ronald and his lovely wife, Illeana, prepared delicious breakfasts!
Ronald was available to transport us to and from the airport. He is very reliable, and took us anywhere we wanted to tour. He is very knowledgeable of the area and the country. Our annual travels to Costa Rica will always include the B&B Garden Grecia. We consider Ronald and his family an extension of ours.
We highly recommend the B&B Garden Grecia.
Ronald and family, Best regards, Sophie & Steve

This was my first trip to Costa Rica but not my Last. After staying with Ron and Illeana at their Beautiful B&B and having Ron Guide us all over Costa Rica both On and Off the Beaten Path I had the Experience of my Lifetime!
Ron is a very Experienced and Knowledgable Guide. He showed us everything from Shopping, Local and Town Events, some Free some with small Charges. Coffee Plantations, Wildlife Habitats, and so much more you'll struggle to remember all you get to see and experience.
He gave us a taste of Local Foods and Markets.
I went for two weeks but need up extending my stay another ten days and still I was still wanting to see more!
Illeana is a great cook and serves Great Meals with Fresh Fruits and local Favorites! Don't miss her "Tres Leches Cake" makes my mouth water writing about it!
If you've never been to Costa Rica I recommend you Stay with Ron and Illeana! You'll never want to leave!
Ron picks you up at the Airport and Drives you safely to the B&B as well as all over. You'll appreciate his Driving Skill in a place where the roads are a bit of a Challenge!
More things to do and see tha a Month allows!
My New Favorite Place and a New Pair of Friends!
I'm sure more will come to Mind once I Post this Review but I can Say!! A Trip to this B&B with stay with you he rest of your Life!!

My family and I stayed two nights at B&B it was simply delightful. We could enjoyed the real costa rican experience here. Waking up by the birds in the morning, enjoying a typical costa rican homemade breakfast. Ronaldo was so friendly! We even had the major suite in our stay. I definitely advise you B&B ;)

I stayed at B&B Garden Grecia for six weeks- April and May of 2014. I could not have picked a better place! The casita that I rented was so comfortable and home-like that I immediately felt right at home. The grounds are very peaceful and well-maintained, with flowers, fruit trees, and stunning views. There is a rescue parrot in the garden who will entertain you with his remarkable imitations and phrases.

Almost every day I saw Blue-Crowned Motmots in the garden, so any birdwatchers will be thrilled with this place. I also saw many Grey-Necked Wood Rails, and parrots of several types. There is a beautiful small river down the hill from the B&B, and convenient access to shops and public transportation.

Just down the road is the beautiful little church of Sta Gertrudis, as well as the soccer field where you can see a match most weekends. The area is very safe and tranquil, with no worries about walking around the neighborhood, even at night.

Access to Grecia is easy, with a public bus that goes directly into that town. From Grecia, there is frequent service- about every 15 minutes- to Alajuela, the airport, or San Jose.

But the best reason to choose B&B Garden Grecia is the SUPERB attention to your needs from the owners: Ronald and Iliana. Ronald speaks very good English, and is always happy to help with any needs you may have. He knows all the area very well, and will make sure that you are happy during your stay. He also knows many of the other areas of Costa Rica, and can make arrangements for tours and transportation.

I stayed in the small house near the B&B, but I did have a chance to see the rooms of the B&B itself. These rooms are fabulous! Spacious, well-appointed, comfortable, SUPER-clean, and quiet. All the rooms have a tranquil garden view, and attached bathrooms with hot water. There is wifi throughout, and breakfast served on the garden patio. There is even a small soccer field for the kids!

If you are thinking of exploring the Central Valley area, I highly recommend B&B Garden Grecia!

We were visiting Grecia for a wedding and looking where to overnight and this place we found is incredible.

GREAT rooms, breakfast, swimming pool, located only one hour from San Jose.

I have to be honest I was worried of going to this place and we loved it.

100% recommend this cozy place.

Did not see it but somebody mentioned one of the rooms has a jacuzzi inside =)

Hi. B&B is about 40 minutes from the airport. Ronald, the owner, will pick you up at the airport if transportation is needed for $40. It's a really beautiful place and Ronald and his wife, Illeana, are incredible hosts. You will want for nothing.
