We stayed here March 12-13 2014. We booked this hotel with orbitz based on the internet presentation and were very disappointed. First it is in an isolated area with nothing around it and is 10 minutes by taxi or car from town. There is nothing around. The room was VERY basic. No closet, bare fixtures on the ceiling, 2 old...

Hotel have nice atmosphere, helpful staff. Rooms are big, have an air condition, refrigerator, microwave; bathroom seems to have an old plumbing system, hot water is limited, but have shower head and hand which is very convenient. Hotel have nice swimming pool and a lot of different swings, including Tarzan swing, kids love this hotel. Food is good: scrambled eggs,...

We didn't like this hotel, actually I would call it a motel. The surroundings are fine, but room and service are really bad. The room had a smell of chlorine, the towels were old, one hand towel for 3 people, the fridge didn't work first, but was replaced. The breakfast wasn't appealing at all. Wouldn't recommend it.

We stayed here in December 2013 and were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful surroundings and well kept grounds. We were happy with the room we had and the tico friendliness we experienced. The owner was really interested in what we wanted to do and provided us with many helpful tips on were to go and things to see. He also...

I loved this cozy hotel. Don Mario was so helpful and an excellent host. He gave us many recomendartions of fun ctivities in the REA, even helped us get discounts, reserved the activites for us. The food was excellent. I thought the portions were perfect and the food Costa Rican. The stay was comfy, quiet, clean. The room was warm...

Since I called in to get my reservation Mariam was WONDERFUL. The rooms are spacious enough, bathroom very clean and well kept. Mini fridge and microwave in the room were new models and well kept as well. The vegetation, tree swing and pool give you the true Costa Rican feeling. Breakfast and lunch are great and the staff is very...

The grounds are very well kept with exotic flowers and pretty birds. The location is good too. The hotel is 10 minutes from town by car. The rooms are in need of some renovating and a blow dryer and shampoo would be a nice addition. However, the amazing staff (Mario and Miriam) make up for the rooms! They are so...

First of all, if you're staying here I'd highly recommend having your own car. We had a rental so this place was perfect. That being said, if you're one to exclusively go on tours, then you won't have an issue because most tours offer pickup and dropoff. Affordable, clean, and friendly. The wifi also worked! Likely many places in Costa...

We made reservations to stay 2 nights in January 2014, but ended up staying only one. The room was small, had two beds but no chairs, a noisy AC window unit and a big shower (this was the only plus). When we got in the room, the smell of chlorine was so strong, we could not relax and rest after...

My 9 year old daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights in June 2013. We had a wonderful stay, and the owner could not have been more pleasant or accomodating. He booked several tours for us and made sure that breakfast was ready early on the days we needed to leave early. He even fixed my flat tire without...
