It is not a luxe hotel but is realy cheap and the rooms are big and confortable one thing that can be unconvinient is that its a little bit close to the volcano but you still have a nice view and they contact you with all the fortuna activities

Mario & family & staff were super helpful with rides & recommendations & discount tickets. They went above & beyond to make sure we had a great time!!! The free breakfast was great & the grounds & rooms were clean & well-kept. The only downside is its a little outside of the town so you need a rental car or...

We enjoyed our stay at Lavas del Arenal. Mario was very helpful in recommending tours, dinner options, and he also helped us arrange to rent a car before we left for Guanacaste. The rooms are pretty basic, but clean, staff were friendly, breakfast and coffee were served on site in the morning. Our one regret is that we did not...

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel, though it is very basic in its amenities (hot water was hit and miss and the shower was fairly primitive). It's definitely not a "luxury experience" but that wasn't what we were looking for. The hotel was charming, the rooms were scrupulously clean and the owner, Mario, was delightful. Very helpful, with...

Me and my girlfriend decided to take a small vacation out of San Jose (We are locals). We bought an offer on a popular discount site (Locals Only) and we were on our way. We took a rental car as mine was going into the paint shop, we took a Hyundai Accent Blue from Adobe Rent a Car and we...

I visited this hotel with my girlfriend last week and our state was not as good as described by other users. The beds are not really confortable. During the breakfast the fruit was not fresh, the tea was servered after we finished our "pinto", and for some reason we had to use the same fork that used for our fruits...

Hi Walter and thanks for the feedback we love it. We are always trying to improve the experience our guests receive when visiting our hotel. First of all I would like to know in which room you stayed as I want to make sure I go and check the mattress to see if something is wrong with it. About the...

It was 4 of us, young guys, looking for adventure and fun in Costa Rica! We were not looking for 5 star resort, so this hotel for the price and description was the best match and we did not get disappointed. Hotel located in a small quite place, away from the city center(but 5 minutes by car), has nice backyard...

Our family of five (3 kids 11,9,5) stayed here for three nights. The room was clean and spacious. It is hard for a family to find quality but well priced accommodations but this was perfect. Each child had his/her own bed and we shared a Queen. The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels were provided. Breakfast was included and...

On our arrival we had a small hiccup when we were told our 3 night reservation had only been made for 2 but we were assured it would be resolved. We had a great introduction to the place and found a lovely clean room with a nice bed, great AC a fridge and a nice big shower. We said that...

First two nights in Costa Rica were here. Best welcome you could ever have. Small creek behind property, nice pool and covered breakfast/meal area. Room was nice. Saw toucans in the trees in the morning, great free breakfast. Garmin GPS brought us right there. Very friendly, helpful people. Would have loved to stay more.
