I really lucked into this Lodge, it had an old-world feel to me, with all dark woods, walls and furniture, open air. I had one of the Junior Suites and it had an enormous deck that must have been twenty feet deep with a view of Arenal, if the clouds ever lifted and the rain never stopped. but a gorgeous... More

We went for my 40th birthday and also wanted to take some engagement photos while there. I emailed the reservations counter before we left and spoke with a gentleman named Warner who graciously arranged the whole thing for us. Couldn't have been happier with him, it was so nice. The property is beautiful, plenty of views and huge places to... More

The best view of volcano, absolutely beautiful view from the room, bar and pools. The drive up is a bit rough and a extra 10 minutes from the main road, but once you get to the hotel I can see why. The view was definitely worth it!

We stayed at Arenal Lodge in November 2016 on a girls trip. The grounds surrounding the lodge are gorgeous, the views are amazing to wake up and see. We went on the horseback riding tour which is right on property. We also went on a few of the trails on property. We had a car so we did all our... More

Real cabin style lodge. Rooms are more rustic but comfortable and the Arenal Volcano views are absolutely stunning. The gardens are beautiful and the whole place is so charming. I would love to stay there again.

This stop was part of a package and the staff was terrific - the restaurant was nice, but the servers even nicer. One night, the bartender asked us if we had seen a red-toed tree frog up close and when we told him we hadn't, he had one of the groundskeepers go and find one. Be warned, if you want... More

We stayed here for six nights in October and really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful lodge. All staff were very polite and helpful. Particularly Norman, our waiter on several occasions, who was very nice! And also the guys on reception. We ate in the restaurant every night and there were plenty of options, so we didn't need to have... More

When we finally arrived (3 hours from San Jose Airport) as we were driving up this winding cobblestone road, we asked ourselves where did we booK? It is a long drive up a winding hill but oh what scenery. Your rooms face the Arenal Volcano. The woodwork through out is magnificent. Keep in mind this is a lodge and not... More

This exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff was very friendly, offering to show guests the wildlife, lending us flashlights and teaching us how to spot tree frogs. They offer a great guided tour in the jungle outside. Incredible views. Incredible lodge to stay in. Very clean.
