The big picture is magical -- we had a room directly facing Arenal, with a little sitting area outside, and we walked across the beautifully landscaped grounds to go soak in hot springs fed by the volcano. But this was the most expensive place we stayed during our visit to Costa Rica, and at the price point, I'd expect them...

The "resort" sits at the base of Arenal Volcano and is conveniently situated close to all the amazing things you go to Costa Rica for. We kayaked, did a night walk, hiked the volcano and did the amazing awesome bridges. The view when you walk out your door is that of beautiful trees, flowers, the volcano and birds everywhere. All...

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and enjoyed the property - beautiful grounds, a few nice trails for bird watching, wonderful pool and hot springs. We had a two room suite overlooking the volcano. The beds were not that comfortable and based on some of the evidence of the exterior of the buildings, I think they are just...

Each hotel room is its own little bungalow. The view from our bed was of the volcano and from our back window a gorgeous green landscape! The property is beautiful with lush grass, trees and many flowers. The pool is very nice and there are 3 volcanic hot springs. The included breakfast is buffet style offering traditional Costa Rican foods...

We were originally scheduled to stay for 4 nights here. But to be honest, the rooms and bungalows are in need of maintenance and considering the price were were expecting things would be in better shape. The spa was expensive and the massages were not all that great. The restaurant, although the food was ok, it was extremely expensive. We...

We really enjoyed this hotel. We had very large room. The king bed which was very comfortable, was surrounded by windows and had a vaulted ceiling. There was a very large bathroom and a separate living area. While the space isn't the most updated, it was still very beautiful. The grounds are lovely and we had an outstanding view of...

The location of the hotel is beautiful with a great view of the volcano and well maintained grounds. Our standard room was charming but there were a few bugs (to be expected). The staff were very welcoming and polite but I was surprised that we were warned that we would be charged 25$ if we lost a pool towel... I...

I spent a long weekend with my couple there, spa, facilities, food and service was fantastic. Unfortunately, my girlfriend got sick, and the resort provided us with a driver at midnight to go to the closest hospital, an hour away, these guys didn't leave us alone and helped us with all the procedures with such exceptional care. I highly recommend...

“My only recommendation would be a safe in the room, although I honestly did not in any way feel uncomfortable with leaving my valuables and passport in my suitcase. Wi-fi in the rooms would have been nice, but it was available in the lobby and restaurant. ”
