This hotel is pictuesque. It is located at the base of Arenal volcano, the views are good. The hotel itself could use some TLC. The rooms need updating. Air conditioner is not adequate. Shower has sufficient water pressure, the head sprays in many different directions.

Beautiful grounds, cabins have glassed in porches with rocking chairs. Loved the mineral pools and the bar with excellent service.Delicious full breakfast included, with attentive staff, in a breathtaking dinning room with ceiling to floor glass wall facing Arenal volcano. It is a rainforest and it was off and on rain for 2 of the 3 days. They have stables...

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, but with a few reservations. Pros: excellent service ( I know some other reviews here say the service is sub-par, but we found the hotel and restaurant staff to be incredibly helpful, friendly, and nice); clean and comfortable (though somewhat dated) room; great bargain (our room included all three meals); terrific views of...

This hotel has great views of the Volcano, but pretty much anywhere in La Fortuna does. They have great new rooms, but also some pretty lousy older rooms. We were lucky enough to stay in one of the newer ones, but heard from those that stayed in the older ones of bad smell and not enough space. The hotel has...

Stayed here for 3 nights with my wife on recent trip to La Fortuna. First off, Costa Rica, GO!!!! The Country is beyond beautiful. The hotel is situated close to the base of Arenal. Beautiful view of the entire volcano from out room, with clear and sunny days each day we were there. As for the hotel itself, nothing exceptional,...

My spouse an I stayed here for one night (Feb 2013) during our visit to Arenal. The hotel is not new. It is a little tired looking, but this didn't bother us at all. I really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and gardens. Since my spouse and I are avid photographers, the numerous birds around the hotel were a big plus...

This is a lovely property with wonderful views of the Arenal volcano. The staff, especially, Reyner, was very helpful. The pool is lovely as are the grounds. Our room, a junior suite, had a nice patio overlooking the garden with the volcano in the background. The furniture is a little "tired" but the room had nice amenities-refrigerator, microwave, and safe....

They badger you to sign up for tours. When you want to just do something on your own (and not pay $200 to walk through the forest) they pretend like you are crazy and don't know where any trails are.
