This hotel was pretty nice. The views of the valley were great and the view of the volcano was awesome as well. We ran into a couple of problems with hot water during the middle of the trip after being moved rooms, but they took care of that and fixed it in a timely manner. Regardless, they took care of...

We really enjoyed our stay at Montana de Fuego. The little, individual bungalows were really neat. The view of the volcano was incredible. The flowers and plants on the property were beautiful. Breakfasts were delicious. The only thing I didn't like was that it was so far from La Fortuna that it cost $10-12 to take a taxi to town,...

I was on business with my wife for the first part of the week and ended up here. We were blessed with a wonderful view of Arenal on our porch. On our back porch we had a perfect view of the valley. The hotel staff were the best of our stay. At one point, I had a brief conversation with...

My husband and I spent our first 2 nights here. The cottages were great, beds comfortable, and breakfast was tremendous! We booked a tour through the hotel (even though travel sites say to book in town). Our tour guide, Christian, was terrific! My husband and I were the only 2 on our tour.We noticed other larger groups on a tour...

Pros: This hotel is a several miles from downtown Fortuna, which can be really noisy until the wee hours. The hotel is surrounded by similar spa/resort types and the area is very quiet, and relaxing. All rooms seem to have some view of the volcano. The breakfast spread was amazing! Cons: It is far from the city and one has...

My husband and I were here for 3 nights. We loved it. The rooms are all individual cottages with decks. They are nice and rustic. Comfy and clean. The AC was great. The hotel staff was super nice. The bartender at the pool was super great! They helped us plan day trips and those were great too. The only bad...
