Lovely hotel with really nice grounds and hot springs. So nice to relax in the hot pools. We had a large suite with a hot tub which was a bonus. Staff were very helpful, Wilmer met us on arrival and provided a cocktail and took us to our suite. We had dinner in the restaurant on our first evening but...

The hotel has an awesome location, right at the base of the volcano, and may very well be one of the closest properties to the actual volcano itself. Our room was very clean, large, and had huge sliding glass doors that opened up to the rain forest and volcano. Breakfast was excellent, and as with many of the hotels in...

We were expecting this amazing hotel. Don't get me wrong the views are great.L Nothing like the volcano outside my door. We stayed in room 503, second floor was perfect. But the lighting in the room wasn't great. I couldn't even read at night. There wasn't any dressers to unpack. The staff is especially friendly. They all speak English. They...

Anywhere Costa Rica booked us here and we couldn't have been more pleased. The hotel was just beautiful and the staff was so accommodating and friendly. The view of the volcano from our room was just exceptional and the free facial at the spa was a nice touch! We had a great dining experience. The wait staff were so gracious...

This is a beautiful hotel and the staff are the best we came across in Costa Rica. Nothing was too much trouble and every request was dealt with immediately, and with a smile. The rooms are lovely and spacious (a little worn in places, but we didn't mind), but the much publicised view of the volcano seldom materialises as it...

We stayed 2 days in this hotel for our honeymoon. The room was fantastic. It had a hot tub overlooking the volcano; the large king bed was incredibly comfortable; and the high ceilings made the the room feel extremely spacious. The bathroom was also stunning. We loved our room. The only caveat is that this place is the highest one...

Nice rooms. The hot tub would of been great if the chlorine smell did not exist. I hate that smell! The weather here was pretty much all rain. The hot springs pools were kind of gross. No hot and a little slimy. But they were nice looking. If they were hot and cleaned a little better they would be amazing....

Tired decor, tired food and tired staff. This place is in desperate need of a refurbishment. The room was dirty and smelly, we complained but nothing was done. The food at dinner was mediocre at best and hugely over-priced. The breakfast was an absolute disgrace. Please give it a miss, we wish we had.

Without a doubt this hotel was one of the finest we have ever stayed. The grounds were magnificent. Walking the paved paths through the grounds took us both to another world. Flora, fauna, general landscaping magnificent. The view from everywhere of volcano Arenal unbelievable. Our walks were as an adventure. We come to magnificent series of hot springs which were...

Room was clean, beautiful views of both the jungle and the volcano. Room had a jacuzzi inside, which was a nice added feature even though we didn't use it. Staff was friendly, service was good, conveniently located near hot springs, La Fortuna, and the lake. Downside was restaurant, which was average, and hot springs weren't really hot. But factoring in...
