The first thing you notice is the friendliness of all of the staff, nothing is too much trouble ,Cesar on reception remembered our names throughout our stay and made effort to make sure we were comfortable. The ONLY negative about it is the pricing of food and beverage, $24 for pizza when local restaurants in town charge $8 is extortionate...

Lovely hotel with an amazing view of the volcano. The pools can be a private oasis depending on how busy it is. Cab to La Fortuna (closest city) is $10-12 (American Dollars) and about $25 to the Arenal National Park. Staff is very friendly and accommodating to needs, plus free yoga in the morning to start your day. Breakfast is...

Nice location. Very good potential but does not get full score with fish taken from the freezer and into the microwave in the sushi bar. Very good spa and hot spring area. The concierge is very good and overall gives the best impression of the place.

Typical resort hotel where the majority of the guests were families with children. The spa center was worth a visit, while you can stay clear of the Italian restaurant. The same goes for the sushi bar, where I'm pretty sure that they defrosted the salmon in the microwave. The main restaurant saved the day with their steak dinners. All in...

This is a modern, clean, comfortable, deluxe resort. We stayed in one of the bungalows which meant we had our own porch and front lawn. My father is mobility-impaired so we needed a motorcart transport to go anywhere on the grounds and it was always just one phone call and two minutes away whenever we wanted. The staff were always...

This resort is decorated beautifully. The flowers and trees make it look great. The top hot springs are very warm and relaxing, but as you go down it gets colder. The staff is nice and accommodating and the lobby is very luxurious. The spa is reasonably priced and now for the bad. The wifi is horrible. It can only be...

We loved having our half of a little bungalow. It was a little snug with 2 beds and a rollaway, but we're always so happy to be provided with the rollaway that I wouldn't complain about it. I loved sitting outside in the morning watching the clouds float across the top of the volcano. We wished we had more time...

We spent three nights at this resort. Overall, we were very pleased with the stay: nice location with nicely maintained grounds and very friendly staff. The only downer was a rather overpriced dinner at their restaurant. The pizzas were well over $20 each but were rather tasteless and bland. The rich breakfast buffet, however, did make up for it.

This was our 2nd destination on our trip, and it did have more of a big resort feel, but it was still very nice and we had a great time. It did seem to cater to Americans/tourists and was a bit on the pricier side. The rooms were beautifully appointed. The pools were very nice. We had an amazing view...

My partner and I had a wonderful 3 night/day stay at Arenal Springs Resort! The units are laid out so that each has a view of the vocano and each unit is a delight in terms of interior finish and appointments. Robust air conditioning, Television, beautiful bathroom with walk in shower and two Queen beds (mattress and pillows a bit...
