Four members of our family spent two nights in one of the 2 bed cabins. Space was a little tight as there were not closets. Bathroom large and very clean. The owner, German, was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed speaking with him, in Spanish, and he even brought over some drinks to share with us one evening. The staff...

There's no doubt the Arenal Green is #1 in it's category. The cabinas were perfect to stay in (there was even air conditioning although we only had it on one evening for just a bit to take the edge off the temperature) You are in good hands with Gérman (pronounced Herrman), his daughter Monica, and the rest of Gérman's family...

A small, inexpensive, family-run hotel where they treat you like family. Great location away from downtown La Fortuna and close to la Fortuna Falls. German, the owner, was very friendly and helpful, as were all the staff. Our room was clean, quiet, had adequate space and air conditioning. Booked our tours through the hotel and found their prices cheaper than...

I found this hotel on Trip advisor as it is not mentioned in any guide books. All of the previous reviews were very accurate. The cabins are small, clean and very charming. the showers had hot water. We had an amazing view of the volcano. The best part was the friendliness of the staff. The owner Herman went out of...

My fiance and I stayed at Arenal Green for four nights. We knew that we would need a place that was a relaxing home base to come back to after "adventuring", and Arenal Green was perfect for it! The family that owns and operates it were friendly, curteous, accomodating and smiley. I always felt safe and taken care of- the...

So much good information has been provided by other reviewers that I'm not going to rehash the details of the property. What I want to get across to people considering staying with German and his family at their inn is the high quality and value of the experience that make it truly unique. We greatly enjoyed a 5-day stay (despite...

Charming Family run establishment. Good location just outside of La Fortuna, a $3 cab ride into town. Don't stay in La Fortuna if you want a pretty environment. Great service and a nice full breakfast included. Great value compared to the other options in the area, though I wish the Arenal Observatory Lodge had been available! All in all a...

This great little find is a short distance from Arenal but feel totally remote. We stayed in the furthest bungalow overlooking the gardens with view over the volcano in the distance. If you're here for the wild life then this place is a gold mine....birdlife is in abundance. Fortuna is approx 2 km away but we found the town to...
