We stayed one night at Silencio del Campo and it was very nice. I liked my "bungalow" very much, it just like staying in a wood cabin, very clean and pretty. Ground is well kept and beautiful. There's a regular pool and a hot spring pool on the premise. I used the hot spring twice and it was very relaxing!... More

We stayed here 2 nights and were lucky enough to see the volcano that towers over the property on a clear, cloudless evening. The rooms are individual cottages, very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. There are 2 pools- the older one is a standard hotel pool, but the new pool with the water from the hot spring is very special.... More

We stayed at El Silencio from April 7-12. Thought it was a great stay with really helpful staff. Eliomar works the afternoon/evening shift and he really did an awesome job with booking all our tours. We did see a big spider one of the nights, but can't blame the hotel for that. (You are in a rainforest!) It was pretty... More

We stayed at El Silencio from April 9-11, 2012 with 3 kids and 4 adults. The villas are just lovely, the beds very comfrotable and the hot water in the bathroom AND sink was a real luxury as we travel extensively in CR. We had villas near the road and really did not notice any noise. The grounds are so... More

Really not sure what all the fuss is about with this hotel? The good: grounds are well landscaped, room was spacious and comfortable, and it was nice to have both a pool and the hot springs. But at every other place we stayed in CR we really felt like honored guests in someone's home and at this place we definitely... More

We stayed at El Silencio del Campo for three nights but could have stayed there our entire trip! Very helpful, friendly staff who brought an extra bed in right away for our third child. Wonderful breakfasts included at the sit down restaurant at the hotel (lots of choices which was great with kids). The property itself is beautiful and every... More

We absolutely LOVED our stay El Silencio del Campo. The cottages have been situated and planned perfectly, each has a private yard and patio and no overlap with neighbors. Nothing like sitting out on your own private patio at the end of the day or after an evening dip in the hot springs. The grounds are incredible...the Costa Rica we... More

We spent 4 nights at the Hotel El Silencio del Campo at the beginning of April. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel. There are about 40 large rooms or huts spread out along the property. My wife’s one complaint was she though that the dressing area was to dark. The hotel grounds are like a... More

Beautiful hotel grounds and private villas to stay in. Some of the best views of the the Arenal Volcano. Amazing spa treatments, food, and service. only a 5 minute cab ride to La Fortuna. Has its own hot spring pool, regular swimming pool, and jacuzzi. Friendly and accommodating staff that spoke good english. Highly recommended!

Very good hotel with beutifull setting and near la fortuna . On the downside the a/c in our room didn't handle the heat on noon time but maybe it's only a problem with our a/c . Also breakfast is poor and I expected at this rate to get a much decent breakfast . Other than that the service is excelent... More
