It's quite some distance to the beach. We rented a car and went out to the Papagayo Peninsula and it took about 6 hours. Jaco is closer but probably about 3 hours with traffic around San Jose and the mountain driving. I don't know if Rio Perlas can arrange something for you or not but suggest you send an inquiry to the desk. There are lots of tour companies so maybe they can connect you up with one. Enjoy!
