I stayed here 2 nights, the room was large and clean with comfortable table and chairs, and a seat on the terrace. Stay upstairs. Breakfast comes with, and was given French press coffee which was strong and good. Very noisy dogs next door, but in Costa Rica thats the way it is. The room had a good shower, and a fridge. Good value.
Our room was large, attractive and clean, with a great view out the window, and the ceiling fan was perfect for keeping the room cool. I enjoyed the good hot water though my husband had trouble figuring it out! We were told that we might need to wait 5 minutes for it to warm up but I found that it probably only took a minute or so. There were a refrigerator and microwave which we didn't use but would be great for someone who wanted to eat in the room. The room was also furnished with an armchair, a pretty table, and two chairs at the table, as well as a lamp with an attractive tall stand. You should be aware, however, that there is no storage whatsoever, perhaps the only room where we have ever stayed with none at all unless you count the two lower shelves of the lamp stand, each several inches square, certainly no clothing storage. Since we were not eating in the room, we used the table and chairs, along with the lamp stand, as storage; didn't look very nice but it worked. Catherine, her American husband, and 3 beautiful children (the oldest brought us gifts of leaves and flowers while we ate breakfast) were welcoming and provided helpful information. We appreciated being spoken to in perfect English, though this was a bonus and not something we had expected. The breakfast was very good with beautiful, perfectly cooked eggs, and the coffee was great. Internet connection was iffy. The one time we mentioned it, it was fixed [temporarily] within minutes but it only occasionally worked in our room, usually didn't. It was usually much better if we went down to the breakfast area in the next building. The location was perfect and our room was quiet since it is on a side street just off a main road.. (There seemed to be few other guests at the time we were there, so we couldn't really know much about noise proofing or lack of.) …
Convenient, clean, lovely owners and cook. Bilingual couple to make you feel at home, local breakfasts, and nice rooms. Some street noise, so use a noise generator like Relaxio if it is an issue. Be aware that English is not widely spoken in the Orosi valley.
Well, we had a really crappy mattress but that can happen. The rooms are clean and beautiful. Ours was upstairs and we had a view of the town around us. Orosi Valley is the best! Sandra and Miguel own Coto Restaurant on the other side of the futbol field and they are both sweethearts. Their restaurant and bar are great. Hotel Reventazon offered free bikes but unfortunately one had a flat tire so we didn't take them up on the offer. The staff is helpful and friendly ad the price is right. We recommend this place.
It's a wel located place in town. Whit a beautiful mountain view from the porch. Rooms are big en verry clean. If you want to go sleep early. The street noise can be a problem, but at night it was very quiet. The reseption is next-door. Where a very nice good English speaking tica can help you. No 24 hour reseption, but they live on the opposite of the hotel.
