The hotel lInteramericano was the nicest cheaper hotel I have stayed at. The staff is friendly and the rooms and bathrooms are clean. Do take earplugs if you are sensitive to sounds. Apparently there were street fights and marachi at 2 AM. Overall, very nice hotel for a good price!

I stayed here a bunch of times and liked it every time. I liked it because of the following: the owner and employees cleanliness open airy concept plenty of bathrooms that are CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN close to markets easy tour connections close to bus station safe friendly travelers occasional sexy guys coming and going As other reviews have stated, it...

This hotel is ok. Its basic but has everything you might need (a bit prison like?). Rooms are small and poky and almost a bit claustrophobic though it is one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. The maids were constantly scrubbing and cleaning - which is nice to see! The major downside to this hotel is the...

We had a room with a private bathroom, which could have held four people (one double bed and a bunk bed). The room was clean and comfortable, though the shower was only slightly warm (heated by some kind of apparatus on the shower head). The common area was spacious, and there is wifi if you bring your own device (phone,...

A beautiful, homely environment with wonderfully welcoming staff. A real family environment where nothing was too much trouble. Yes some of the rooms are pretty basic, the hotel is in the middle of the city so it can be noisy but as long as you are aware of this before you book I cannot imagine why, for this price, you...

Disregard those whiners who gave it 1 out of 6!!!! They're dumb. It's 6 out of 6!!!! I really enjoyed my 12$ stay at hotel interamaricano. Patircia was very helpful and kind. As a solo female kayaker, she helped me a lot. My gear dried in her garage below as I slept soundly above. The room was very clean, as...

My friends and I were travelling around Costa Rica and ended up here. One of our guide book recommended Hotel Interamericano and it was late, so we decided to check in. The lady at the front, a former New Yorker, was nice. The price was right. The room we had was moderately clean and good enough for weary travellers. The...

Hotel Interamericano is a fantastic place to stay if you're visiting Turrialba. We heard that there were cheaper places nearby (but seriously, at $12/night, do you need cheaper?), but that "you got what you paid for" - and it was definitely true. Hotel was immaculate, everyone who worked there was amazingly helpful, hooking us up with local guides and transportation,...

I went to this hotel in June with my friend and from the beginning, we knew we were at the good place. Patricia knows all the good places in town and will arrange a rafting trip in seconds. The hotel is clean and we loved playing with the dogs. The rooms are cheap and simple, just what we were looking...

I stayed here for 2 nights with my 12 yr old son and although it was a little noisy it was one of my most memorabe hotels stays ever. The owner Patricia really makes you feel at home. Dealing with someone like her that is so down to earth and friendly is a refreshing change. If your looking for an...
