The hotel is situated not far from the centre of Turrialba, with views of the volcano, when it is not shrouded in clouds. The rooms were basic, but clean and there was a good shower with plenty of hot water. The beds were not comfortable and the pillows were very lumpy. The air conditioning was OK. The Wi-Fi, which was...

Stayed here for 2 nights. Rooms are simple but not very spacious but the area is very central and staff were very friendly. Guy serving behind bar was very friendly and when I told him it was partners birthday the next day he promised to make him a free cocktail - he kept his word and much appreciated! Food was...

Stayed in a clean, but small and basic room by the main road. Thankfully, the room had air-conditioning. The bathroom only had a cold tap, and no plug. Ring-marked wooden bedside cabinet by the bed. No swimming pool at this hotel.

They wanted to sell us a not very clean small standard room for 80$. We argued and finally got it for 65$. This was still way too much for this room, they profit from tourists who get stuck in Turrialba in their way to other destibations. The restaurant is not good either, though cheap. Service staff is friendly - but...

This hotel fronts the main drag in and out of town, so as others have eloquently said, the traffic noise is significant, and loud, bring earplugs. And any noise in the courtyard is magnified by all the tile in the patio. Plus there is no air conditioning, and even in rainy season, I found the room almost too hot to...

I frequently travel to Turrialba. While I usually stay with friend, there are times when that is not convenient. On those occasions I stay at the Wagelia. It is close to the bus station and the central park. It is within easy walking distance to the outdoor activity companies that provide canyoning, rafting, horseback riding etc. The rooms are fine....

unfortunately noisy due to the very busy heavy lorry traffic passing right next to the hotel in the day. Adequate room, staff mostly pleasant and helpful, breakfast was a reasonable typical cooked meal, the only problem was there is only one waiter serving everyone and he's possibly also helping in the kitchen. He tried very hard but service ought to...

This is a very basic room. I had the twin bed and my husband had the double bed. My husband's bed was horrible. The room was clean and that is about the only good thing I can say about it. Way too much money for what you get. I've had cheaper and better rooms in the US. The most depressing...

Paid $55 for a room with smelly blanket, poor breakfast, very noisy (from staff shouting in the corridor) and other guests. Curtains did not close completely, lacking privacy. Cannot find anything positive to say, except it is in the center, close to amenities, and front desk staff were friendly.

Parking is very limited and tough to get in and out, but the hotel was perfect for us. Food at the restaurant was very good with a great breakfast included in the price of the room. The hotel is on a busy street that gets noisy at about 5am. get a room as far away from the check in desk...
