My partner and I arrived at the Lost Iguana on the 18th of April after a 4 day stay at a busy (and noisy) resort in Playa Hemosa. What an absolutely amazing resort! The staff greeted us and promptly checked us in, informed us of the facilities and the opening times, and assigned us our rooms. We had booked a...

This resort was fantastic!!!! The buildings (we only saw three rooms per building) are built into the forest so you can hardly notice the others. The rooms and balconies are very private. And the views of the volcano were breathtaking. Our room had a king bed with a canopy and small bar area, perfect for two people. And the hot...

We just returned from a four night stay at the lost iguana resort. What a fantastic place. We stayed in a celebrity villa as a family of five. It was spacious with a view to die for and good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. The grounds and surrounding area were beautiful....

My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary at the Lost Iguana. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer. The Arenal area is special with all the activities and hot springs and has to be the most beautiful area in Costa Rica. We passed lots of other hotels on the road and were happy we chose the Lost...

Every room has a view of the Arenal Volcano. The grounds are beautiful and very much like something you would wxpect to see in a movie or travel ad. Very friendly staff. A bit isolated, about 10-12 kilometers from La Fortuna. Rooms were nice, but nothing spectacular. We drove over from Playa Panama on the Pacidic coast, a little over...

What a beautiful spot! Straight out of Fern Gully! We had a beautiful balcony overlooking the rainforest and volcano. I saw spectacular hummingbirds from my deck chair and my friend saw a toucan. My husband loved the Sopa de Pollo at the restaurant. And I enjoyed the adventure of the nearby bridges through the rain forest... http://theflightcontinues.blogspot.com/2011/12/ticos-people-of-costa-rica.html

I can not say enough good things about the Lost Iguana. My husband and I spent four nights there last week and had an amazing time. It was our first time to Costa Rica and we could not have started our vacation on a better note! The rooms are gorgeous. We booked the Romance package so stayed in a Luxury...

No chance of a lie in here as the sound from the rainforest is all around you, but that is unbeatable. We started our Costa Rica experience here and loved it.....Rooms meticulously clean and very functionable. Service good, but in the background not in your face. Food in the restaurant a little bland but good value, and other restaurants available...

A very nice property not far from most activities. Because of its location, any cab ride was $25 each way, regardless of the destination. Venues with activities arranged transportation to and from the hotel. The room was large and had a very nice balcony overlooking the volcano. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast (included) was good. Lunch and dinner...

What a great introduction to Costa Rica. This is a delightful place to stay if you love having the flora and fauna as close as possible (matches some of the better lodges in Kenya!). We had a friendly check in and walked up to our room whilst someone drove our bags up, yes it is a steep climb, but we...
