This was my first trip to CR, and the staff at Lost Iguana was very helpful with suggestions for activities in the area. The hotel/spa is in a beautiful area, nestled in the rain forest. If the hilly setting is a challenge, the hotel offers golf cart rides to and from the various buildings. The rooms are spotless. Our room...

I just got back from a fabulous five day stay at the Lost Iguana. My husband and I are seniors and we were concerned about the hotel being built on a hillside. We quickly learned that no concern was necessary since they provide a club car which looks like a large golf cart whenever you need one. We found the...

My wife and I recently returned from a great five day vacation at the Lost Iguana. We are seniors but found we were able to navigate around the rainforest hillsides since the hotel has nice club cars available whenever we needed one. We found our room which was in the Orquidia building was perfect for us since we could walk...

We had a great stay at Lost Iguana Resort. The grounds and views are absolutely beautiful, and the staff really made the place special. All were very helpful and friendly from reservation through departure. I had lots of questions about the best way to plan our vacation since we had never been to Costa Rica before, and the front desk...

We are still touring costa rica but just left the lost iguana. I really liked it. We are traveling with our three boys (teens, Tweens and a youth). Maybe they were the ones that disturbed the earlier reviewer. Hey it's possible. Sorry. But we all had a great time. My wife and I were in a luxury room with an...

I have stayed in four different resorts around the La Fortuna/ Arenal area and this one is definitely the best. This is my third return visit to the Lost Iguana because it just keeps getting better! I stayed for five days and enjoyed the hanging bridges, a safari float down the river and a great tour of the hiking trails...

This hotel is gorgeous but I am not so sure that I would stay here again. PROS: - Absolutely GORGEOUS location in the middle of the jungle. You are really immersed in nature here. Incredibly picturesque view of Arenal. - The design of the hotel is all wood, very natural and feels like it blends in with surroundings - Conveniently...

I have a serious problem with the validity of this review since we never drained the pool in August. We drained it to replace tiles in October and gave all rooms a complimentary massage for any inconvenience. We never play Christmas music, even at Christmas in respect to all religions. The walls are filled concrete block with insulation. We are...

My wife and I were looking for a place to relax for a week and enjoy some beautiful scenery in a comfortable setting. We found it at Lost Iguana along with some very friendly staff and good food. It's close enough to town that a quick shuttle gets you there and if you want some fun outside of the resort...

This resort is not located in the town of la fortuna town, it's quite isolated, nothing around the hotel.you need a car or taxi to go out. It was a 5 minute drive from the dam to arrive the resort. I am very sorry you found a 120 acre resort "isolated". We are only 15 minutes from all the other hotels lined up on the road. If you had preferred to stay at one of these hotels, we would gladly let you cancel your room and stay in any other hotel. I asked the staff if anyone had requested to...

My wife and I are in our 50s and well traveled. We spent 4 nights and 5 days at The Lost Iguana. First of all the place is huge. You can spend 4 hours just on their jungle trails. BTW, these are not trails for the timid. Bring water and a snack! The resort itself was beautiful, private, with lots...
