A very nice property not far from most activities. Because of its location, any cab ride was $25 each way, regardless of the destination. Venues with activities arranged transportation to and from the hotel. The room was large and had a very nice balcony overlooking the volcano. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast (included) was good. Lunch and dinner...

What a great introduction to Costa Rica. This is a delightful place to stay if you love having the flora and fauna as close as possible (matches some of the better lodges in Kenya!). We had a friendly check in and walked up to our room whilst someone drove our bags up, yes it is a steep climb, but we...

We spent the week before Easter at the Lost Iguana. My wife and I, two boys, ages 15 and 10. We had a "Celebrity Suite" which consisted of a master bedroom with bath (actually, outdoor lava rock shower), a living room with kitchenette (microwave, small fridge, two stove top burners and sink) with TV and another bedroom with two twin...

I've waited so long to take the time to review this place because I had such a good time & have so much to say. For the positives, it's virtually never-ending: Pros: - Staff: friendly all around from reception to housekeeping to the bar to the restaurant to the gift shop. Excellent service & very resourceful (i.e. booking excursions)! -...

We stayed at the Iguana for 7 days and it was an amazing experience. My wife and I absolutely loved the staff and food here, and the more than delightful design of a tranquil resort. We barely saw others and the sounds of the environment were so peaceful it kept us shy of a whisper voice throughout. The room was...

This was my fiancés and my first trip to Costa Rica, and it won't be our last! We recently stayed four nights in the luxury suite and the room was absolutely beautiful. We had an amazing view of the volcano and great room service, and great service all around! The resort is on a mountain so the walks to the...

We stayed at the lost iguana for one night and wished we could have stayed longer. The views are spectacular, employees helpful, food delicious, and drinks potent. The rooms are enormous and about 4x the size of a typical "chain" hotel. I'd highly recommend lost iguana.

My husband and I stayed at the Lost Iguana using a Groupon Getway so it was a good deal. The location and views of the volcano were gorgeous. The reception staff was great and they helped us book some tours in the area. We also enjoyed hiking the rustic trails on the property. We were disappointed in the dinner service...

Loved this hotel! We have three boys and stayed in two rooms that were connected. We had a very cool view of the volcano, an outdoor shower and loved the jacuzzi on the deck. The open air restaurant was amazing. We loved watching the Toucan's eating each morning while we ate our delicious breakfast. Dinners were fabulous.
