Don't stay in hostels much, but was very impressed with this one. friendly helpful staff, clean, secure, quiet (except for a dog that barked next door in the middle of the night.) Great shower, cosy backyard area (lights out at 10pm), very secure (no one gets in or out without the attendant to unlock the gate.) Location is just 2...

There are two hosts in this property. Jesus made a srong point of introducing, was helpful with introducing the room and facilities. He promptly replaced a plug for the aircon that tripped repeatedly. He was helpful with information on beaches and transport. The other host was not pleasant when I arrived. He did not say welcome or hello and did...

Best thing about this place was the staff! Very kind with a lot of great tips to help you really get the best trip out of the area. The building itself was clean with a lot of security. kitchen area well stocked with cooking supplies in a comfortable back yard. We also booked a tour through our stay for Rincon...

This hostel is in a great location, has a very well equipped kitchen (especially compared to most other hostels in CR), it's very clean, has a nice garden to relax in, and the owners are super friendly. Most importantly, it's the best value for money you will get in this area. I have recommended to other travelers already. Stay here!

I had a great stay here. Its a humble place compared to other more flashy backpacking hostels in CR, but it was really great. The owners and staff were very friendly. There's a nice garden in the back where we had a nice time chatting with other travelers. The rooms were clean. Can't beat the price! Solid stay for a...

We were in a pinch and could not figure out how to get to our hotel near Rincon de la Vieja. (There was some miscommunication with the hotel.) Jesus at the front desk helped us out and we were able to find transport to our hotel. Now I wish I stayed here at Dodero because of how kindly I was...

I made a phone reservation the night before. I arrived in Liberia at about 7:30pm and it was pretty dark. The location is about 4 blocks away from the bus station. It was a bit sketchy in the nighttime, but I was fine. The space is beautiful. The bathrooms are very clean and the outdoor shower is large. The cooking...

Easy to get to from the bus, and safe and clean. Stayed there after we landed and again before we went home and had no trouble at all. There was a good map of how to get to Llanos de Cortes waterfall and a bus schedule that was helpful.

We stayed here for our first 2 nights in Costa Rica. It's a clean and comfortable hostel where we slept well and enjoyed chatting to other travellers in the shared kitchen and garden area. Shawn and Jesus are great hosts who will help you with any plans you have in the area and with your onward travel plans. We highly...
