The room was clean and comfy, the site was beautiful, the pool was appreciated, the place was well located, the breakfast was Mmmm, the host was sooo nice. Perfect getaway for a young family, we...

LIke others have stated, staying at Rancho Armadillo Estate is like staying with a long lost friend. Rick, the owner, provides such a unique and relaxing atmosphere. He is full of great advice and tips on activities in the area. He is also willing to go the extra mile and help you with any issues that might arise while on...

This estate was one of the best we visited during our recent trip to Costa Rica. The layout of the place was great and has fantastic views. The owner is very attentive and makes sure you have a relaxing time and provide little hints about must do's and should avoid things throughout the country. The breakfast is not to be...

We just returned from a total of four nights at Rancho Armadillo. What started out as a simple visit turned into a wedding on the premises! Clearly, planning even a small, simple wedding like ours took some effort and Rick, the proprietor of Rancho Armadillo, really stepped up to the plate and proved to be an invaluable resource for us....

This may have been one of the best weeks that our family has had on a vacation. This part of Costa Rica is beautiful, and the Rancho Armadillo is well located for lots of different activities. Rick, the owner, is an excellent host, with lots of suggestions for day trips and adventures. The hotel operates like a bed and breakfast...

We stayed in Rancho Armadillo for almost a week. And what a great week it was! The owner, Rick, is a great guy. He knows the area very well (and other touristic areas in Costa Rica aswell) and he'll help you book your excursions if you're feeling adventurous. He knows the best places to eat, drink and do tours for...

We arrived a bit late in the evening, having wisely rented a Costa Rican GPS from our car rental agency - Rancho Armadillo is tucked away on a quiet lane. We were warmly greeted by Rick, the owner/manager, as soon as we arrived! Even before we left the States, we had incredible service personalized to our interests and time frame....

Small, close to town (although I'd recommend a car), laid-back to the nth power. Owner/operator is a very mellow and friendly guy- this is a good place to hang out at the pool and do a whole lot of nothing. If you're looking for lots of activity, crowds, and raucousness this is not the place you want to be, but...

This hotel is one of 89 Adventure Hotels in Costa Rica. It's my hidden gem. This was my second visit, my husband's first and it's as beautiful as when I was there three years ago with my girlfriend. You are completely on sensory overload; the quiet is overwhelming; the view is spectacular, the sunsets gorgeous, the flora is aromatic and...
