Justin and Lindsay are amazing hosts. The hotel is located on the same block as a beach access for the main break. They also have a great array of boards to rent, everything from long boards to fishes. The Mar Bar has combined with Playa Grande Inn, and the food is amazing! Brick oven pizzas, wings and daily specials that...

PGI was perfect for our surf trip. My brother, two friends and I stayed here for 4 nights during our trek for good waves along the coast of Costa Rica. Not only was the surf amazing in Playa Grande but so was this resort, the owners, workers and all the other guests. Honestly I could have stayed here for months....

With a crystal clear pool, cold beer and clean rooms, all of which is located (literally) two minutes from the beach, PGI is the perfect vacation spot! There's fresh coffee available every morning, in addition to Lynn's smoothies and granola bars which might the most delicious things you'll ever taste. You can lay by the pool in the sun or...

Everybody elses reviews on here are spot on, so I won't repeat all that. Just going to add that Justen and Lindsey are super nice and I can't wait to go back. We had three people and stayed in an apartment that they had to rent, which was perfect for us because we like to cook a bunch of our...

Restaurant, drink, and pool. Also Marbar next door has delicious food and friendly staff. Great location, walk to the beach and surf spots,...

Been to several beach inns and this is the best I have found. If you want the Hilton, than check in to one. Justin and the staff were great and Justin cooks a great set of ribs. Clean rooms and comfortable. Raw Bar and Marbar have very good food and portions. I certainly will go back especially during turtle season...

I stayed here mid-February 2013. As soon as I got to PGI, the manager was incredibly friendly and laid back. The rooms were spartan, but clean, and appeared to be well maintained. There was no smell of mold like at Las Tortugas. For $50 dollars a night I didn't expect anything more than a clean, safe place to sleep, and...

We have been travelling since the early 70's...South America on 5 and 10 dollars a day, Mexico, the Caribbean, North America and Europe and latterly Central America and now I' m thinking of quitting Trip Advisor because of the pettiness some of the reviewers. I am a room snob; have paid mega bucks for a postage stamp room in NY...

We stayed at the PGI the first week of February 2013. We were just looking for a basic place near the water and loved the idea that the beach is protected for the turtles, so we knew it would be quiet. Justin, Lindsay, Lynn, Johnny, and the rest of the staff were warm and welcoming. Anything we needed Justin provided....
