Beds are terrible, we both woke up w sore backs and immwdiately checked into the Rip Jack Inn down the street. Sheets were old and didnt fit the bed, kept alipping off the corners by morning the sheets were bunched up. Blankets were old but functional. A/C worked very well but was old and really noisy. This place was great. We stayed in Greek 4 and loved it. It was cheap, clean, and in a great location. When we arrived there was a group of howler monkeys sitting in the tree outside our window! We went to Playa Grande for a chance to see the sea turtles and Las Tortugas was situated just across the street...

Even though Hotel Las Tortugas was more expensive than our other lodgings in Costa Rica, I made reservations here because it seemed to be the 'go to' hotel for the turtle nesting tours. The room wasn't dated. It was just plain shabby. The mattress was lumpy and it felt like it was full of sand. The bathroom was so out...

I spend three to six months in Costa Rica each year and am always searching for places that make me feel "right at home". There are several nice hotels in Playa Grande, but there is only one that offers the "total package"......nice rooms and apartments, an awesome staff, a full service restaurant with an excellent menu and reasonable prices, all...

We only stayed here one night to do the turtle tour at the national park, but wished we were staying longer. The property is more like the beach house that belongs to your friends' hippie parents. Our room was on the small side and sparsely furnished with an aging bathroom but was clean and had a beautiful spacious balcony that...

We had stayed in Greek 4, 5 years ago and also in Hotel Villa Baula twice, and this time we stayed in Octopus 4 and 2, our 18 year old daughter and 5 frieds, ages 18-21, we all had a great time in Playa Grande, with the quietness of the Apartments and the safe parking in beach front Hotel´s pool-jacuzzi-hammocks....

This hotel is the best place for those wanting the real Costa Rica beach experience. Play in the waves in the morning and then retreat to the poolside hammocks in the afternoon. Follow that with dinner on the deck and a late night tour to see the leather back turtles and you've done it all! Staff are excellent help and...

We have been staying at Las Tortugas for many years and cannot recommend it highly enough! The accommodation is simple but clean and charming with fabulous touches like private courtyards with hammocks and lounges off many rooms. The pool area is the perfect place to relax with loungechairs for sun worshippers or a covered tiki area with hammocks hanging from...

I spent two nights at this hotel. I went there specifically to see the leatherback seaturtle nesting. When planning my trip, I decided to spend just the minimum amount of time there, as there were many other things I wanted to visit of the country. When I had to leave, I didn't want to. My room in the hotel (one...

Just came back from my third stay at Las Tortugas, a great trip as always. I have been to Costa Rica many times, to all the fancy hotels and resorts and once I found Las Tortugas I never needed to look elsewhere. Great location, great prices, awesome staff, and amazing owners who really went above and beyond to help me...
