I stayed one night here and the room was ok with a decent balcony and hammock. But when I checked out in the morning and said I was travelling to Montezuma, the American ex-pat owner (I think his name was Chris) told me to drive the coast to save time. It's nearing the end of rain season and when I...

Lovely place. Each bedroom seems to have a balcony with a hammock - which took a bit of practice to get out of ! You can drive into it to unload / load, but you actually park out on the road. Apparently the hotel employs a security guard, so it's safe. Coffee is provided in the morning, but you will...

We stayed here for a few night while visiting Samara. Nice, fun, quirky place to stay. Close, but off the beaten path a bit. You felt very much at home. The staff can arrange any ]types of adventures and recommend things to do.

Well maintained property, designed for privacy and comfort. The grounds are beautiful. Loved our shaded private balcony with hammock. Ample space for four to relax. Saw lizards, frogs and howler monkeys right from our deck. Only a short walk to all that Samara Beach has to offer. Would not hesitate to stay again. There is occasional noise from the highway...

I stayed for 10 nights, had a small room (bunk beds and loft bed) the first 5 nights, then to larger room with queen bed. The a/c was a lifesaver and the balcony was all teak and view of the gardens very relaxing. The pool was clean and inviting. Owners and staff friendly and accommodating. Nice little common kitchen/gathering area...

Loved my room, loved the owners, and loved having access to the communal kitchen with free coffee in the mornings. I booked a triple (3 twin beds) for roughly $25/night (with A/C!!!) and this has got to be the best deal in town. Easy walk to the beach, restaurants and super market. I will recommend to everyone I know and...

This place is a little paradise in Samara .... Very very clean, the pool is amazing, the commune kitchen also for backpackers (if you don't rent a chalet or an apartment ...), the owner built this place and didn't cut one tree ... You have a large area dedicated to yoga or to do any physical exercise ... A place...

I extended my stay the moment I saw my room. I had just stayed in a place in Santo Domingo that had me wanting to run to the pharmacy for some Prozac, but things brightened when I arrived here. Friendly staff, kitchen is lovely. Well designed rooms (my bed is like a cozy nook). Oh, and the howler monkeys are...

Great value at $20 a night for a single bedroom which has a nice size ensuite and the walk to the beach is fairly short. Swimming pool is also nice although quite small but nice change from the sea. Would definitely stay here again if going to samara

We stayed there for about 5 days and it was extreme relaxing. The staff was friendly and always helpful in planning your trips. Very calm place, we stayed in the second floor rooms. Parking space was outside the lodge, so no special safety area, but on the main road, so no big deal. Breakfast was not available, but a short...
