We were treated like family when we visited here. Larry and Marie are wonderful hosts. They showed us a trail to a very private beautiful beach. We were able to visit with them more and learned so much about the area. It was a wonderful visit

With the money that they charge $150 per night you can easily get a nicer room somewhere else, cheap bedding set, dirty rooms, slow service, some guy from management was always around screaming at the staff, Donny I believe was his name! Golden rule doesnt apply here! This place has lots of potential, I work for Four Seasons hotels in...

My cousin told me this was a famous place for getting great sunset shots. A few of my family members jumped in the car with me and we drove over to get a beer and sit in front of the solar show. The sunset was phenomenal. I would recommend you stop by and enjoy it yourself when you find yourself...

Fantastic Hotel. Great location! Amazing sunsets. Best food ever! Super Friendly staff. Easy I minute walk to the choice of two beautiful pristine beaches. Easy drive to Tamarindo. We stayed for 5 nights. Snorkeled every day. Enjoyed easy access to catamaran snorkeling tour, estuary boat tour, Liberia rodeo, Santa Cruz, etc.

Through a recommendation of our Airbnb host we went to this lovely hotel. The staff was fabulous. Food sensational, view spectacular. We only went for dinner but did look around and decided we would come here to stay our next trip. There seemed to be a little walk to the beach, so really not sure how far it was DOWN...

Thank you for your review Susan, Our beachfront hotel sits above the beach with amazing vista's. With paths down the bluff to two beaches including the beautiful Playa Blanca, and a short stroll to Junquillal we are truly a beachfront resort. We look forward to having you stay with us in the future.

Our vrbo didn't work out well, so we stayed here our first night in costa rica. Iganazul was clean and friendly with good food and service. Felt like we were part of the family. This is what Pura Vida feels like. The beach at the hotel is very rocky, but beautiful and quiet, with good swimming beaches very close by.

Check-in was quite chaotic. When we arrived at the hotel the owner brought us to "our" room but it was occupied by other guests. Then he asked us if we would like to have another room either with two queensize beds or with one kingsize bed. We said we would like to have the room with two queensize beds. A...

Thank you for your review. The hotel is scheduled for a full renovation this May, where we hope our rooms and service will match our setting. It's disheartening to hear that the service from top to bottom is not up to the standards set by us or by what our guests expect. All staff (including "the owner") will be reviewing...

My friends and I were in Playa Junquillal last week. Most of us had been there before and weren't in any rush to see the big attractions. Instead we headed to Hotel Iguanazul where we had stayed before, but this time did the daily Beach Club pass. For $30 you can hang out by the pool, park there securely, use...

Sitting on a hill overlooking the beach, the Iggy is a nice place to stay with great views, a nice pool, and a friendly staff. Not the easiest to get to (bumpy dirt roads), but room was nice and feels like a little bit of paradise.

Thank you for the comments Steve as they help our guests understand the peaceful, serene location. From the Liberia airport the roads are all paved except for the last 3 kms. The road from Tamarindo is mostly paved (except for the missing bridges) go figure. Tamarindo is the party, the Iguanazul is paradise ;-)
