This was our first time traveling to Costa Rica and it definitely won't be our last! I had numerous recommendations to make Tamarindo a destination and after looking around on tripadvisor, I decided "specialty lodging" was the way to go for a 4 night stay. Joey was super accommodating and helpful from our first point of contact. He recommended places...

Casa Bambora will stay with you as it has soul. The overall appearance is polished, yet as you look closely, you will find beautiful craftsmanship. The care and pride taken in providing guests a nature inspired retreat are the root of the property’s beauty. The views are stunning, the atmosphere tranquil. In addition, there are modern conveniences – full size...

World travelling seniors we found Casa Bambora our kind of place.Joey is a great host and his casa very comfortable.Dont expect "5 stars" there is no steel and glass modern. Just returned from a seven night stay here - having done a fair bit of traveling, we decided to stay here because of the cost, location and ability to cook a few meals in, rather than eating in town for breakfast and lunch. We arrived and were pleased to discover that everything we had read in previous reviews was correct!...

We had 8 in our party and rented the whole place. I was so thankful to stay at Casa Bambora because of all the reviews I have read on Trip Advisor. Joey had an injury that required him to leave Tamarindo part way through our stay. Our A/C went out and the room was unbearably hot for 2 days. Joey...

Just returned from a three week vacation with family and friends at Casa Bambora. By far the most beautiful view in Tamarindo. Rooms were very clean and extremely comfortable. You can watch a beautiful sunset from the 3rd floor roof or just hang out by the pool. Very quiet, safe and relaxing atmosphere. Joey was great anything we needed, he...

Home away from home.. I'm already looking forward to my return.. If you are looking for a laid back, quiet, safe place this is your spot. I spent a week there and it wasn't long enough . The bar downstairs was a good place to kick back after surfing in the morning and ended up meeting some great people while...

We stayed at Casa Bambora over New Years and had an awesome time. The outdoor kitchen was super social and we met some really wonderful people, including Joey, the host. Clean, spacious rooms, fun pool with waterfall seat, and rooftop patio for sunset gazing and early morning yoga to the sounds of howler monkeys in the distance.

My friend and I stayed here for only a couple of nights, which wasn't nearly enough time to fully enjoy the comfort and splendor Casa Bambora had to offer. Joey is a great host who will go out of his way to make sure you get the most out of your stay. The shuttle wouldn't drop us off directly at...

Joey was a fantastic host. Friend and I were traveling on short time for just 2 nights, but Joey was kind enough to give us a 2nd floor room for the shortened stay. He even went out of his way to pick us up and drop us off from the hotel down the street with all our luggage to catch...
