Located across the road from the playa negra this guesthouse is perfect for a laid back vacation. Very quiet, safe town, close to Cahuita national park. The resort itself is very well maintained with beautiful gardens and a nice pool. We stayed in the green cottage which had everything we needed. As this remains the jungle I would advise not...

This charming cottages are even better than what we had expected from the many excellent reviews. The garden makes you feel in paradise & you can spot many animals. The pool is very pleasant & clean. The cottages very confortable, clean & cosy, with a beautiful porch. The location could not be better, it is quiet, next to an excellent...

This is the perfect place to stay. The friendly owners continually go out of their way to ensure that everything is perfect. The location is perfect: right across the street from a nice beach, and near many restaurants and the entrance to the national park. There is an awesome breakfast available every day with eggs and fresh fruit, along with...

Playa Negra Guesthouse is a true treasure in east coast of Costa Rica. My boyfriend and I rented a stunning fully equipped cottage just steps away from the beach for 10 days! Not to mention for an amazing price! Our cottage is surrounded by lush plants, trees, flowers and a stream and pool. Throughout the property you will find a...

This is, as erveryone says, a wonderful B+B with wonderful owners. The cottages are extremely tasteful and well equiped, the gardens are very beautiful. They even offer very good breakfasts now, which are not included in the price but which are more than worth the money. So instead of repeating the positives, which are plentyfull, I just wanted to point...

It was the greatest investment in my life, and I am going back next year. Not only was there a beautiful pool on the grounds, the ocean was right across the street. The locals were all friendly, and the host's made sure we needed for nothing. Everyone kept asking if we had a tour guide, but one of the host,...

Oh man where do I begin! This place was so awesome it is hard to give it justice in writing, but here it goes. The grounds where like a tropical paradise. Lush, green, super clean, and full of life. Iguana, sloths, and poison dart frogs in the the tress and bushes gave it a true jungle feel. The pool was...

Awesome! I know this word is overused, but this place definitely deserves it. My family (myself, my wife, and our two kids ages 6 and 8) stayed in many nice hotels, b and b's, hostels, guesthouses, etc. throughout our 7 week trip to Central America, but this place was the best! I'm glad that we stayed here last because we...

The Hotel is located in front of a beautiful dark sand beach. From our little bungalow we could hear the ocean. The room was always clean, with a full equipped kitchen, fridge, coffee maker: everything you need. There is a pool and common area for the guests. Maryse and her husband Pierre were very welcoming hosts. The Hotel is fully in the middle of a tropical garden, right next to the sea. The room was clean, spatious and nicely decorated. We very much appreciated to have the first coffee of the day on our room terrasse and we loved that they provided beach towels. Pierre took us...
