Although the staff was very friendly and the food was good, the hotel was run down. A lot of broken items, nearly no light in the rooms. When you switched on the watercooker, the lamps were more or less out! In principal it was not too dirty. When you have to be in Moin, you will manage but it is...

We stayed for just one night but they let us leave our car for a few days and helped greatly with trip planning. Jeremy in particular was extremely helpful. Decent food, great rum! Good value for a place right on the beachfront. Certainly the place to stay in Playa Bonita before you head off to Tortuguero national park.

We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into when we pulled into the parking lot after dark and passing by a number of other hotels that did not entice us into their parking lots. It turned out to be a low end (by North European standards) hotel but quite a bargain if all you want is a nice...

Hotel,is situated right on the water and offer a beautiful view of the Atlantic. Rooms are sparse and cheaply decorated. Doors are closed using an old fashion key, and if you forget to turn the know on the inside, the door isn't looked. With some minor investment, this could be a great place to stay.

A bit disappointed with Hotel Playa Bonita. We drove from Quepos to Limon only to find out that our reservation was not honored. When I approached the "reservation desk behind a teller window", I was basically told that they had no more rooms.....no apologies, no help to find something else. I asked for the manager, who apologize and blamed booking.com...

My family and I stayed there for a week. Rooms are nice and so was the staff but they need to add telephones and microwaves to rooms and also have someone available to help with take suite cases to the rooms. There also need to be more choices for breakfast.

Except for the great location, there is nothing really worthwhile mentioning. Rooms are just that. A crippling bed, bear furniture, windows that don't close, no bedside lamp, etc. the facilities are at the same level. Outside seating in the evenings is cozy and has the Caribbean atmosphere. All in all: you can enjoy the odd stay, but I wouldn't spend...

We have stayed at Hotel Playa Bonita on our Costa Rica vacation for the past three years. The rooms in the newer section overlook the ocean and have beautiful views! The room itself is more than adequate, with a good air conditioning unit when you need it, plus the windows open for a nice ocean breeze. The lovely Cocori Restaurant...
