We use Trip Advisory frequently. A few years ago and our 1st trip to Costa Rica we found are so happy Mother Dear. There are always those questions in your head when you read and then finally book like " did I make the right decision here? And "is it really going to be as advertised and like they said?"...

We came with friend's to Costa Rica. This seaside stay was a great part of the trip. The wood floors and rich decor was attractive. The sound of the surf and groomed gardens added to the charm. It had a kitchenette, refrigerator with a nice supply of beverages and condiments which gave us the opportunity to choose to eat in...

We had a wonderful stay at the Mother Dear Cottages, they are right on the Playa Negra beach, sunsets in the evening, large and airy, at a very reasonable price. Everything was very clean, bathroom was large and very nice. The cottages have a lovely wood interior, deck to sit out on at night. We only stayed two nights, and...

My husband and I had attempted to stay at Mother Dear Ocean Cottages two years running, and each time they were sold out. However this time we got extremely lucky when a guest could not extend their stay as initially planned. Yay for us! We arrived a bit early on the day of my birthday, and Jimmy and his sweet...

My husband and I spent 9 days at Mother Dear in April. Yes, everything has been said here already, but I wanted to just let everyone know that it is all true and it is just lovely. The cottage itself is perfect – the king bed the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, the kitchenette clean, modern, the fridge large,...

Just returned from the P.V. region after 3 weeks of beating around from Cahuita to Manzanillo. Mother Dear was last of 4 places we laid our heads (for a week) and we couldn't be happier that we chose it to finish our trip. It was our first time to that region, so after lots of research we hoped we had...

Mother Dear exceeded our expectations. Our five-day romantic getaway was idyllic. The proximity of the beautiful cabins to the beach combined with the scenic views from our balcony hammocks made us never want to leave, so much so that we often chose to cook our own meals there, foregoing the many excellent restaurants just minutes away. We spent much of...

This is our second stay at Mother Dear in less than 6 months. Our first stay was so perfect that we couldn't wait to come back. We stayed 8 glorious nights in the most comfy king bed, falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves right outside our door. You don't even need to leave the bed to see the...
