The visit was very comfortable and relaxing. This had been our 25th anniversary vacation and the owner and staff were so very knowledgeable and helpful in day planning. They became our friends and we miss them.I would highly recommend staying at Casa Moabi while in the Caribbean area of Costa Rica.

This hotel is a good location between Puerto Viejo and Manzanillo, we cycled between the two places (roughly 7km to each, either direction) using the hotels cycles ($5 each for the day). It is walking distance to a secluded beach, where you have to walk through the jungle to get to (watch out for sand crabs). Our room was a...

Imaging relaxing in a hammock in the middle of the jungle, surrounded by the sounds of monkeys and exotic birds? Later you walk down to the beach and enjoy the carribean waves. This is Puerto Viejo! We felt really welcome at casa Moabi! The hosts were fantastic, and the atmosphere amazing. You will never regrett visiting this place! PS: The...

First off our hosts were absolutely amazing ...they were such friendly people and they were so very helpful. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean. They also provided a yummy breakfast for a small charge. We were walking distance from the Jaguar Rescue Centre - which I highly recommend you visit as well. Our place was about a...

What a charming little hide-away! Casa Moabi is approx. 10 minutes with a car from Puerto Viejo and a 5 minute walk through the jungle to the beach. A surprisingly large dog and two very friendly owners greeted our carribe shuttle upon arrival, and made our two days a pleasant stay. The room was small, but clean, the common area was...

I have stayed quite a few times in the puerto viejo area at several different cabinas and hotels. I truely love this great unique property.(my new favorite) The owner and the management were unbelievably wonderful at making me feel welcome and accommodating. The cabins were extremely clean and the property sits in a very active animal zone. (monkeys, tucans, parrots.frogs...

Casa Moabi is in an idyllic setting, completely surrounded by jungle yet within minutes driving time to beaches and area attractions. A lodge could not be more peaceful. Every morning at about 5 AM we were serenaded by howler monkeys and a riot of bird songs. Our first day at the lodge a sloth appeared in a tree right next...

We had a room for 3 with it's own bathroom. A good sized room, comfy beds, and it was cleaned every day. We enjoyed the breakfast there but sometimes we cooked our own - good facilities. Carsten was running Casa Moabi while the owners were away for a few days and I can honestly say that he helped us to...
