Beautiful property and less than 5 minute walk to the beach. The staff was extremely genuine and so nice. The bungalows are amazing and set the vibe for our jungle vacation. The owner and his wife were very welcoming and we had an excellent couples massage while listening to forest sounds. The spa is right on the property. The bungalows...

We had a great stay at La Costa De Papito. Brilliant cabinas / bungalows with Flintstone-esque bathrooms! Loved it! Mosquito nets provided above beds, loads of storage space, ceiling and floor-standing fans, safety deposit box in room, water on tap in Reception area so that you can fill up bottles. Fantastic covered terrace area outside the cabin - with chairs,...

This is undoubtedly the best hotel in Puerto Viejo, not to mention a great place for a family reunion! Perfect location, literally 3-5 minute drive into the vibrant and active town. The grounds and bungalows are just beautiful. You literally feel like you are living in a carved out piece of the jungle. As a large group with different family...

Wonderful experience! Fresh and tasty food, beautiful nature, and friendly staff. One of the most unique stays anywhere! Highly recommended! Puerto Viejo is also my favorite beach in Costa Rica. I do however advise that you take caution at night in terms of safety, and travel in groups or via taxi. That said, you will love the charm and vibes...

Stayed at Papito on the second leg of a three leg Groupon around Costa Rica. We were scared based on some of the negative reviews. Let me give the bottom line before going into details: this is a great little place and yes, it is VERY hot here in the rainy season. The place is located about a kilometer outside...

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and staying here really made my trip go from good to great. The amenities are fabulous (right by the beach), the breakfasts are delicious, the rooms are clean, and the staff is exemplary!! This was my first time traveling in Costa Rica and I don't speak Spanish so some of my experiences getting around the...

We stayed here for three nights and three days and everything about this hotel was just SAD. As soon as we came in we felt disappointed at the lack of amenities and basic comforts that one expects from any hotel. We got through the check-in process easily enough but from there on everything was downhill. The constant and intrusive bird...

"Saddest Man in the World. Stay Away From Costa Rica's South Caribbean Coast" If the song of the birds, the roar of the Howler monkeys or the sound of the waves crashing on the beach annoy you, then stay away from where the jungle meets the sea. If the humidity is a problem then stay away from the coast and...

We just got back from CR and Puerto Viejo de Limon. HLCdeP is a very beautiful property, not far from town. The bungalows are comfortable. No A/C, no TV. It offers and excellent breakfast with the package, and the front desk ladies are wonderful, they were so helpful!

Nice place, with good location near Cocles, for sure I´ll be back. Beautiful bungalows in the middle of the nature spot, staff is friendly and they offer you a variety of options when you arrive, You can rent a bike and the breakfast good enough.

We were very pleased from the moment we arrived! A lovely warm welcome by Marva and the treat of a delicious ice cold tropical drink sure hit he spot after our drive from the city. Our bungalow was so beautiful. Such attention to detail! The grounds are breathtaking and abundant with a large variety of rainforest plants and flowers. We...
