After the long drive down to the Caribe Sur it's an incredible feeling to arrive at Casa Viva!! Handmade homes in a beachfront tropical garden are hard to beat!! With your days spent on some of Costa Ricas best beaches you can't go wrong. The experience is rustic charm at its most authentic. This is the real C.R. that combines...

If you want to experience the beach and jungle of the Southern Caribbean Coast without feeling like you are camping out, this is the place. The cottages are just lovely and the grounds are simply enchanting. You will be well cared for with all concerns addressed. It doesn't get any better than Casa Viva.

My girlfriend and I stay here just one night but wished we could stay longer, absolutely large elegant property right on the beach, gardens and trees all well maintained, the bungalow is so nice with little personal nick-nacks on the walls and shelves, homey with mosquito netting around the bed but use it, the little no-see-ems are there, but we...

Casa Viva rescued our vacation! Our family had booked another house (which got great reviews on tripadvisor) in Chiquita and it was pretty abysmal (dirty, dark, not close to the beach). So we called Casa Viva and they were able to get us in right away! When we pulled up, we were in awe. The gardens are magical, the cabins...

We stayed in one side of the Duplex for 4 nights. One of the most important considerations for us is sleep quality. Casa Viva provided a comfortable bed with netting and not too bad pillows to sleep on. That plus peace and quiet with just the sounds of the jungle and ocean waves made for a good nights sleep. The...

beautiful hotel right on the beach. We came for our wedding and rented all cabins for our family. It was perfect. Everyone had their own private getaway. The gardens are gorgeous. The beach is idyllic. Selvins next door has great food. We all rented bicycles to go into town.

Our family stayed at Casa Viva for a week over the 2014 Christmas holiday. We specifically booked here because of our wonderful past stays. We had House #1, closest to the sea. The waves, the birds, the howlers all make the experience so fabulous. There is a resident sloth in a tree on the path to the beach and the...

I came with a friend for my 30th birthday. We had a cottage very close to the beach, so that at night when it's quiet, all we heard were the waves crashing. They sounded so close to us in the near-darkness! The beach was OK - a smallish crescent of sand, but it was very secluded so it was nice...
