We stayed here over New Year's and thought it was perfect. Lovely rooms, perfectly clean and very close to town yet far away enough to enjoy a quiet night of sleep. We didn't mind the shared bathrooms as we only shared with one other room. The owner is so friendly and helpful and even made me tea and soup when...

Clean private room with shower, fan, and bug net. The staff was super friendly and told us how to get everywhere. Peter even booked our travel to Bocas del Toro for us. Perfect location not being too close to town, but also not far away.

We stayed here over Christmas specifically choosing as it said it had a sociable communal area. There were no special touches like decorations for Christmas and found the managers to be cold as we felt like unwanted house guests on Christmas Day itself. Facilities were ok but basic, with neither a kitchen area or breakfast included, looking around town we...

Really good shower, fan, and mosquito net combo and... that's about it. Ha. The reception people were pretty standofish, like someone else mentioned it's a bit like being a guest in their house. Pretty good value for what it was. A simple clean room.

The rooms are beautiful and the accommodations are great, really friendly staff! I have worked with Monte Sol for different retreats and the women have loved staying there. The staff was also really helpful with providing the women with directions on things like taxi services etc, Great Place!

This was the perfect place to stay in puerto viejo, it's close enough in town for everything, but a block off the main road which makes it peaceful and relaxing. After partying every night in puerto viejo we loved being able to come back a crash in quiet place. The rooms are comfy and super spacious, no A/C, but the...

I think that Costa Rica, in general, it's more expensive than the rest of Central America. This place was the best value for money that I found. Clean and nice. It's managed by the owners. They were very friendly and helpful with us.

Great place, small and cozy, very comfortable surroundings, but the best part is its location, in the jungle but two blocks from the action of Puerto Viejo, close to a cut in the coral we call the swimming pool because it is always flat water and a sandy bottom, great for families, tons of restaurants and bars just a few...

We had a lovely room with a shared bathroom. The staff was very friendly. The only downsides were that our shower did not have the advertised hot water and they did not serve breakfast (it says they do on their website).

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Located just off of the main road, the hotel is warm, welcoming and friendly. Great value for money, we stayed in a double room with private bathroom - shower was always hot and strong, towels and bedding changed very regularly. Mosquito net provided along with hammock outside on the balcony.
