We stayed 3 nights and had a positive experience. The rooms are simple but adequate. They are very spacious and kept very clean. There are good options for breakfast (which was not included). The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to organize some tours and the guides we had were all excellent. The atmosphere is relaxed and...

We stayed here one night in June. Very cheap accommodation, and rooms were clean and reasonably big. Right on the beach, and although it is not safe to swim in the ocean (rip tides are huge here), the hotel offers a beautiful view of the beach. They send a guide to meet you at the ferry dock in La Pavona,...

We found this hotel through a local community website but it should be more widely known. We reserved a room with private bath by email and they had great communications with us before we came. They met us at the river boat landing at La Pavona and had someone meet us at the central landing in Tortuguero to walk us...

We stayed for 3 nights in a double room with private bathroom. No AC, the fan worked ok but it was hot! It's only a small town so the Hostal is well located for everything and the national park. The property is on the beach so you have direct access and can enjoy the breeze. The B&B has a nice...

We stayed 3 nights here. We were comfy. Rooms are nice and clean. No aircon so when its hot inside the room might be too hot. Staff is helpful and friendly. I loved the location: 5 min to the town, directly on the beach , 5 minutes to the entrance to the national park. We booked night walk and canoe...

The price was definitely right here! $25 a night and was perfectly adequate for our 2 night stay. We do not stay at resorts or take booked tours! We create our own tours and this b&b fit our needs. Centrally located in town near all the restaurants and a 5 minute walk to the national park. No AC but was...

Right by the beach, with hammocks and a neighbouring hostel's pool to use. Great as it is so hot at the moment. Rooms are a good size and clean with powerful fan. We found ours a little musty and stuffy. Staff were friendly and helpful. PS the best place to eat in this little town of you are looking for...

We stayed upstairs and got a large room with 2 fans. The beds were comfy and the shower had got water (not really needed!) What would make this place great is a communal kitchen. It has a nice area of hammocks at the front, but the communal area doesn't really get people to mingle. Staff are helpful although we used...

Good location. Breakfast options are.limited and not included in booking price. Welcoming staff, very clean rooms but bathroom area is like a sauna, no ventilation. Hotel leads directly on to the beach but there is no swimming allowed but you do have use of a neighbouring pool.

stayed here for three nights - got a bigger family room on the upper floor for the two of us and it was quite comfortable. the rooms on the bottom don't even have windows, I wouldn't be happy there, but the room we had was spacious and with two windows, so that worked out quite well. the hotel itself is...
