We spent 2 nights at the Tamandu Lodge with the Carrera family (Anastasio and Matilda). It was an amazing experience as we were quite deep in the forest, territory of the Guaymis indigenous. They host only one group at the time so it’s not a “tourist trap”, it’s a really authentic guest house. You have your own wooden hut with...

We stayed three days with the carreras family in their village. They are very friendly hosts and welcomed us not only to their small village, but also to their home and family. There are different activities during the day like crab fishing, hiking through the jungle (lots of trails), or they show you how they make bags. Never the less...

The tamandu lodge is an amazing place. When we went there we thought it would be a hot, uncomfortable place without proper toilets and showers but when we got there we found it was quite the opposite! - it is cool there so there is no need for A/C . - the meals are typical costa rican dishes that are...
