I found the Hotel through a friend. The first thing that catches your eye is the restaurant, open, cozy and beautiful, with a huge deck that almost glides over the Golfo Dulce (Sweet Gulf). The breeze calms the hottest day, and you will surely enjoy the most delicious cold beer of your life. There is something about the humidity, the...

We stayed at room 14, corner amazing view, peaceful, very convenient kitchenette, fridge, dinning table, queen need and sofa bed. We visited the restaurant that is amazing, and decided to stay after seeing the room! At the entrance to Golfito, ocean front, and far from the craziness of the center of the town.

We arrived in Golfito and planned to stay one night. We found this place by using Trip Advisor. We ended up staying 2 nights. I gave this place 5 stars for the following reasons: Location-It is located right on the waters edge of Golfito del Dulce. The views from the restaurant are great. In addition it is very easy access...

I booked this place for one night and ended up staying three. The staff was very pleasant and helpful and most spoke English. I also ate at the restaurant and I definitely have to say the food was the best in town as well. I have stayed in many hotels in Golfito and this has the best "vacation" feel for...

We were doing some shopping in Golfito duty free. The hotel has some big rooms for families, totally equipped. Experience was good, but a little expensive if your thinking to go for a economic shopping ride. The hotel has a beautiful view to the Golfito's estero and a nice restaurant. Service was acceptably.

We spent one night here and enjoyed both dinner and breakfast in the hotel's open air restaurant and bar. The team was incredible, so kind and so helpful. We are traveling by motorcycle and arrived just ahead of a rainstorm. We checked into and unloaded our gear at our room and then the employees moved their own motorcycles from a...

I am only reviewing it as a restaurant. We had a very relaxing time on the terrace, enjoying tapas and cold beverages. The menu is very classic (docked one star), the ceviche is excellent, the staff is very friendly, the food takes a while to come even if there is not much of a press. The surroundings are picturesque. The...

This is the second time we have stayed at Mar y Luna for a shopping trip in the duty free port of Golfito. Once again, Mar y Luna did not disappoint. The service is outstanding, the restaurant offers good food. We like rooms 13 & 14 with the kitchenettes. The A/C really keeps the room cool. The rooms are well...

Right on the bay with totally relaxing decks and a bar / restaurant with open air views. Rooms are spacious and the A/C blows cold. Some rooms with kitchenette. Great and secure place for Duty Free shopping. Good food. All the staff we encountered spoke excellent English.

We like to stay at Mar y Luna on a regular basis - it's a happening little laid back hotel right on the water in Golfito. The ambiance has local flare, and there are always lots of folks milling around and enjoying the fresh seafood, cold beer and good company at the restaurant. If you have a chance to take...
