You need to go to Golfito first. The Lodge has no access by road nor air. All boat. We parked the car in GOLFITO and were picked up by the guide and captain. The transfer takes around 30 minutes. The lodge is situated in a remote rainforest next to Piedras Blancas Park. The property has several hundred yards of beachfront....

This place is absolutely recommended. Located on the ocean inside a large Gulf, it is the true and real rainforest Experience we had expected. We stayed in a beautiful cottage located under large rainforest trees. We could see tons of birds from our deck. We saw one species of wild boar, the Coati Mundi which we had never seen before,...

My husband and I returned last week from a short Costa Rica vacation that included six days at Golfo Dulce Lodge. We do not remember having a more interesting and enjoyable vacation. The fun began at lunch on the first day when a white-crested parrot swooped through the open air dining room to land in the rafters, a mythical-looking basilisk...

I could not have been happier with my stay at the Golfo Dulce Lodge. For a naturalist like myself, it was an absolute joy. For those of you looking for somewhere completely away from crowds, surrounded by wildlife, and away from touristy types of things, then this is the place for you. Out here you are surrounded by a beautiful...

Stunning location. We loved everything about our time there. The hotel is located on the coast, with a private access to the beautiful coast of Golfo Dulce, a natural oceanic bay. The tropical rainforest is all around. The lodge is located amidst a large tropical rainforest and on the sea. The wildlife is amazing too. We saw the red macaws,...

One of the great nature experiences anywhere. The wonder starts with the boat ride and the entry into the well-hidden realm of the lodge under the great canopy. We immediately lolled in the hammock and observed macaw pairs feeding overhead, birds and giant butterflies flying by. There are fine guides for day tours into the magnificent 150 feet canopy of...

We stayed at Golfo Dulce Lodge. We had heard amazing things about the area. When we got to Golfito, we were picked up by a boat that took us to the ldge, located in a gorgeous bay, surrounded by nothing else than tropical rainforests and beach. The beach is not the nciest one, but one has to understand that Golfo...

I loved Golfo Dulce. Approx 5 cabins interspersed throughout the property. Ours was lovely with a nice bathroom, lots of windows and a veranda with hammock and chair. The lodge/restaurant area is great to hang out in and Esther's food is incredible. A quick walk down the path and you're at the deserted beach - warm water, gentle waves. The...

My husband (age 38), nephew (age 24) and I (age 32) travelled to Costa Rica for the 3rd time and decided to explore the Golfito region this trip. My husband had seen this Lodge online previously and I chose it for us to stay at. Upon arrival via Sansa Air in Golfito, we were greeted by a taxi who took...

The first impression when we arrived at the Lodge was like “Wow, is there something else than trees, flowers and birds?” We arrived in Golfito in the early morning and someone of the Lodge picked us up by boat. On the way to the Lodge we saw some dolphins. The Lodge is situated in the middle of the forest in...
