I stayed here on a Monday night with my girlfriend in a private room. The location is brilliant, the decor in the newer rooms is fantastic and the showers are great. However there is one critical issue, the place is located right next to a large bar that blasted music non stop from 9pm to 5am on a MONDAY! Now...

We stayed on a Friday night. Hotel is in very good shape, staff were friendly and helpful. Location is smack in the center of town, so it's easy to get to the bus, restaurants, beach and bars. Hotel has been recently decorated and looks great. Downside however is the noise on a Friday night (it might not be like that...

Buddha House is amazing. The photos are accurate. Our room (private room) was well decorated and well appointed with TV, air conditioning, room safe and nice bathroom. The staff, Marcella and Miguel, were extremely nice and helpful. It is located right in the middle of Jaco with a fun dance club and other great bars nearby as well as a...

I originally booked Buddha House hotel for 2 nights but ended up staying on another night I loved it so much. I had a private room with bathroom and it was huge with a king sized bed! Great value for money. It is fantastically located in the centre of Jaco a short walk from the beach. Mainly I just loved...

My 'one night' in Jaco kept extending due to the charm of this hostel. Set back from the busy road, our air conditioned room in the main house was peaceful, tastefully decorated and a sanctuary to come back to after a busy day exploring the local area. After travelling for a few months this hostel is a dream - a...

I chose the Buddha House hostel after reading the write up in the Lonely Planets guide and hat a good choice it was. My longest stay on my cycle tour from Vancouver to Panama has been two nights. This hostel was nice and chilled with good clean facilities and very nice friendly staff so I extended my stay for an...

Let's start with the hostel itself immaculate and very clean rooms. The shared bathroom's are checked through out the day and are always clean. There is a pool to chillout in as well as 2 kitchens if you want to cook. There's a fantastic atmosphere during the day, which changes at sunset when coloured lanterns light up and gives it...

I decided to arrive an evening early for my stay in Jaco, and needed a room for Saturday night. I have to say, I really wish I had known about this place prior to locking myself into an airbnb. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and there are plenty of hammocks and places to relax. I enjoyed the colored lights...

I was blessed to be recommended by a dear friend to stay at this oasis. From the moment you enter the place, the energy is fantastic. The staff are warm and friendly, and they have something for every budget. At night, it lights up with colorful lanterns, and the hostel type feel brings wonderful people around to converse with. They...
