Perfect location. You're right in the center of town but on a quiet side street. Secure parking lot although you're probably just fine right on the street. Helpful staff. Very secure. Felt covid precautions were properly taken. Good sized room. Nice pool area. Breakfast area was fine. Recommend for a Jaco stay.
Very nice place and even better service. We used this place quite often and always has been great. We will be back soon. Good rates, good size rooms. Nice and quite part of Jacó, which is good if you traveling for work. Walking distance from good places to have something to eat or have a drink.
Great place for a relaxing weekend in Jacó! The breakfast is amazing! This is a family oriented property, meaning a lot of kids, so you must like them! The apartments are great if you are coming with a big group. Remember to bring towels for the pool, these are not provided by the hotel (I think they should).
We stayed with our two kids for a week and found the hotel staff to be very accommodating. We requested a bigger family room after our first night and were offered a better and more updated room that we liked. Our kids loved the pools in the courtyard and the daily breakfast ritual. All the staff members were very friendly and helpful. We met Victor, the owner, who was onsite and very approachable to guests. He recommended and even took me to a local physical therapist when I needed help! We really enjoyed our time there!
My family and I stayed at the Hotel Mar de Lux at the end of our Costa Rican vacation. It is located slightly off the Main Street and away from the noise - which we liked. And it is an attractive building with a lovely pool area and gardens, as well as a delicious breakfast. When we checked in, we noticed the safe in our room was broken. We asked on 3 separate occasions at the front desk for someone to come and fix it. No one did, so we had to spend the entire trip having to carry around our passports etc which is less than ideal from a safety perspective. On our second night, we noticed water dripping through the ceiling from the room above from ours (it completely soaked our son’s luggage) - we went to the desk several times to report it and no one was there each time we went so we had to use our shower towels to catch the water. We also had to go out and ask for toilet paper as it was not restocked during daily cleaning - and again, there was no one at the desk to ask. It is a lovely hotel with a lot of potential, but disappointing service. …
