We had a great time at the resort and never gambled once! The resort is easy walking distance into Jaco. The pool area is large and even offers some seating with shade. There are several restaurants onsite but the one we liked the most (we went twice) was the Italian one. The food was excellent and the wine list though small had great selections that were very reasonably priced. Our two servers, Roderick and Rubeyel, were both personable, professional and very knowledgeable about the menu choices. The octopus and steak were perfectly prepared. And the Basque cheesecake was absolute perfection. Also, bellman Andres went above and beyond as he helped me check on my driver AND fixed the handle on my suitcase while we were waiting to be picked up. All in all, we can recommend Crocks even if gambling is not for you.

The parking is very comfortable and easy to access. The gym is small but has all the basics. The pool is large and has a bar for outdoor drinks. During our two-week trip to Costa Rica, my fiancé and I considered booking a stay at Crocs Resort in Jaco. After visiting the property one afternoon, I’m glad we decided against it.
The resort is located about a 15–20 minute walk from the main part of Jaco, making it somewhat isolated. While a taxi ride is quick and affordable, the distance is worth noting if you’re looking for easy access to the town.
We stopped by Crocs for lunch and hoped to spend some time at the pool afterward. It was clear to the staff at the poolside restaurant that we weren’t hotel guests. Despite this, we weren’t informed of any restrictions on pool access. Unfortunately, the meal itself was the worst we had during our entire trip. The calamari and pulled beef quesadilla were heavy, overly processed, and gave both of us stomach aches. In contrast, every other meal we had in Costa Rica was fresh and delicious. The passionfruit margaritas were drinkable but tasted like a grocery store premix. At $100 for lunch, we expected much better.
After our meal, we went to relax by the pool. As soon as we began to get in, the manager rushed over to inform us that the pool was for hotel guests only. While I understand the policy, this information should have been communicated upfront, not after we’d finished our meal and paid the bill. They told us there was a day pass available for purchase, so we went to the front desk to inquire about it. Surprisingly, the front desk informed us that no day passes were available — despite the pool being nearly empty, with maybe 15 other guests in the area.
The rest of the property was unremarkable. While it’s marketed as a casino and resort, the atmosphere felt lackluster. Given the subpar food and the overall vibe, I can’t imagine the all-inclusive package being worth it, especially when Jaco offers so many incredible local restaurants and experiences.
If you’re visiting Jaco, I’d recommend looking elsewhere for accommodations or dining. We stayed at Oceano Boutique Hotel, where they offered complimentary breakfast every morning that was delicious. Crocs simply didn’t live up to expectations.

Good beach location, with great waves.
The noise level of the surf is present in rooms with a sea view because the windows are single-glazed. The bathroom fan is also loud and unfortunately you can't turn it off. It disturbs your sleep.
For a 5-star hotel, the white tablecloths in the restaurant have large holes in them. A no-go.
The rather simple cutlery was also laid out despite being dirty. Another no-go.

Unfortunately, Crocs marketing/advertising plan that their hotel is 5-star luxury property, which is a complete lie.
I stay in luxury properties when I travel, so when I looked at the Crocs Instagram & Website I decided to book. Upon arrival in our room, it was very obvious that this hotel was not what is described. The room essentially just a bed, the chair had stains on it, the piece of 'art' had been replaced with previous travelers' pictures, which obviously has never been noticed by the hotel staff. The worst part was the smell of the room/entire resort. It smells like mold & mildew. We wanted to still stay positive so went to get some food at the pool restaurant. The meal was gross, and my friend got sick from it. From that moment we decided to book a different hotel, check out, and leave Jaco altogether. When asking if we could have a refund for at least 1 of the nights, it was denied despite telling the supervisor of the issue. I would have given the property a 1 star but decided to give 2 stars as the bellmen and front desk agents were kind and gracious. Everything else was subpar, including leadership.

I stayed at Croc’s in Oct 2024 as part of my birthday travels in Costa Rica. I had an incredible stay at Croc’s Resort and Casino, where the entire staff went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful experience. Everyone was courteous and attentive, making me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived. A special shoutout to Jhoen in the coffee shop. The beautiful surroundings made for a relaxing getaway. For a 4 star hotel: there was no hair dryer, tea, milk for coffee were missing in the room. There was only one portion coffee, if you made a cup on upon arrival, no more for the morning…
Breakfast was pathetic. A la cart menu was poor, had no options for whole wheat bread. You could only get fruit yogurts none natural. My husband ask for pan cakes he got pancakes decorated with M&Ms and peanut butter no syrup, jam nor honey. Ha ha ha. Orange juice was yellow coloured syrupy water… This hotel won’t be my choice next time for sure…. Oh yes My husband asked reception for milk to coffee in the room, they asked USD 2…

We were just as impressed with Crocs on our second visit. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is fantastic. The talented executive chef and pastry chefs did not disappoint! While our primary goal this trip was to relax by the pool and beach, Crocs offers numerous excursion opportunities, whether a trip to Manuel Antonio National Park or Isla Tortuga, zip lining, monkey and wildlife tours, or a myriad of other activities. The heart of the town of Jaco is walkable and filled with other dining opportunities and nightlife. The staff takes COVID protocols seriously, as staff were good about wearing masks and the property was constantly cleaned and disinfected. The pool is spotless and sparkling, and the staff was proactive in taking care of all our food and drink needs. We cannot wait to go back!

Crocs is our home away from home. We first stayed here during Covid. The staff blew my mind. They all worked so hard in the heat with masks on, with a smile! Diego was our first favorite. At the time he was working the pool bar and made the best cocktails, he is a true costa rican mixologist. Fast forward to this year they hired a bunch of new staff, which all still blew my mind. Alex is a true hustler, you will see him running around the pool serving people with a big straw hat and a welcoming smile. Get the chicken club it’s the best. We will continue to come here year after year because of the locals! Fabian, Erick, Erickson, Maria and many more are all here to help you with any need! Book a stay, I promise you will enjoy every minute. Also the bedding smells amazing, and they also use all natural local soaps. We love our crocs family!!!
