We had a fantastic stay at the Hotel Plaza Yara. The rooms are very large, clean and inexpensive. The balconies feel like you are sitting in the jungle, and a visit from the monkeys is always a fantastic experience. The breakfast was good and the gallery holds some impressive A great stay.

Nice, quiet, clean and big room with fridge and microwave; monkies around the hotel. Lobby not always staffed. Breakfast ok but not outstanding. Good location to go to the national park or whale watching.

I have only good things to say - impeccably clean, modern, beautiful hotel which lies in the middle of the forest. The nature is literally at your doorstep (and so are the squirrel monkeys who said hello to us this afternoon!!!). The staff is amazing and friendly and they pay attention to the little details (coffee and popcorn in the...

We enjoyed our stay here. The room was incredibly spacious and having spent the previous few days in more rustic locations, it was nice to be in a more modern hotel. The bathroom/showers were great. We would stay here again! We had a car so getting to the numerous restaurants and bars in the area was not a problem. We...

My wife and I spent two nights here at the end of our Costa Rican holiday. Very good service. Lovely room. Sumptuous breakfast with lots of variety. Ample parking. Air conditioning. Lots of artwork and tasteful decor. All for a very good price.

We are a family of five that visited on August 6th and 7th. We originally were going to stay at a hotel next to the park and beach but I didn't like the reviews so we switched to Plaza Yara which is only a short 5 minute drive to the park and beaches. I really had no great expectations and...

This is a beautiful boutique hotel. The room was really a suite with a separate kitchen, dining and sitting area. The bedroom was enormous, beautifully decorated, comfortable, quiet and I had a wonderful view of the woods, with many butterflies and birds. The swimming pools were very nice (although they were doing some construction at the time by the one...

They have two pools and a cool water jacuzzi. We have been here 3 nights, and the monkeys have come the last 2 days to play in the...
