This was the best hotel we stayed in while we toured Costa Rica. The hotel is at the entrance to the Manuel Antonio National Park. Beautiful grounds and a wonderful hotel with very helpful, friendly people who worked there.

We have been to Manuel Antonio many times and this was the 1st time we tried Hotel San Bada. This proved to be a very good choice for us. Walking distance to the beach was very cool and being able to walk to different dining options in the evening another plus. The pool area is relaxing and the pool bar(s)...

Dear Guest, It is great to hear that you and your family enjoyed the stay here and our friendly staff. We work very hard to make this hotel perfect for our guests. Our houskeeping staff works very hard to keep the rooms nicew and clean and they do so without using harmful cleaning agents that may harm our nearby wildlife....

I have had little success with hotels in Costa Rica, so was not expecting anything much. But I liked this place. We stayed in one of the premium level rooms on the higher floor. Even though we were below the pool and bar, and even though surrounded by trees (I have had too many 5am monkey wake up calls to...

San Bada looks impressive at first glance. Its location next to the Manuel Antonio park and within walking distance to the beach is it's best feature. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself, however, is a bit decrepit. While our room was generally acceptable, the pool area was grimy and rarely had a clean wiped down table....

We stayed here one night on a Caravan bus tour. The hotel is within steps of the entrance to the National Park. We did a 2 hour hike through the park with wonderful views of rainforest, ocean, animals and birds. What a great first visit to Costa Rica! Stayed here for one night while visiting Manuel Antonio Park. Hotel is right at the Park Entrance and is convenient for that reason. We were not thrilled with our room, however. It was very dark and had a very distinct musty smell, probably due to the high humidity in the area. When we checked in, even the bed sheets felt...

There is much to like about this hotel where we stayed for four nights. The location is very convenient, central and right beside the National Park.
