Huh... before I booked the hostel I read through the rather mixed reviews here on TripAdvisor. Finally I gave it a try and I don't regret it... I stayed in a dorm. Yes the dorms are really basic and a bit run down. The beds were old and the mattresses were very very thin. The "safe" was rater a wooden... More

My rating: + friendliness from staff + pool + garden o size of rooms o cleanliness of the room - cleanliness of the room - lumpy mattress (and hard) - equipment of the common kitchen - just one power supply under the bed -- equipment of rooms (just the bed and a small shelf) -- cleanliness of the common kitchen... I went to Manuel Antonio and after almost a week in different hostels, I was running out of cash 😂 so I decided to stay here since the prices are cheap and its the closest hostel to go to the park, They don't give breakfast, showers and bathrooms are shared with the entire hostel. But its pretty close to everything,... More

We stayed here for two nights in a private room for 25$. The price was really good and the hostel is super close to the park entrance. However, the kitchen is not well taken care of. You can't use the fridge because raccoons come by every night and make a mess in and around it and eat the food. There... More

This hostel is perfect for who whant to visit the national park because it is just outside the entrance of the park. It is very colse to the public beach and also to many bars and restaurants. The room is really small and rooms at the ground floor have no privacy because the common area is just outside the door.... More

It's a weird set up to get in, but once there it is your typical grungy beach hostel. The price is about average and there are private rooms with fans and AC. (Just because you reserve for 2 does not mean they give 2 beds, so double check.) The place's main perk is that it is right next door to... More

Best view so far and the food was wonderful. It is quite a hike up the hill bit well worth it. We enjoyed the breeze and drinks. We even had several children with us and it was perfect for them as well. The fish tacos are great and the shrimp and rice are too.

Booked our room weeks in advance, and stated we needed a late check in (9pm). So we arrive at 8:50pm and are told the staff is gone for the night. Luckily the hotel of the same name was still checking in guests up the hill. A nice man helped us and got us the keys to our room. He accidentally... More

El Faro Hostel is located steps away from the National Park entrance and down the street from an amazing Filipino cafe. The hostel offers both dorms and private rooms, all with shared bathrooms, a large shared kitchen and refreshing central pool - the place is laid out in away that invites guest interaction with great opportunity to meet new people.... Very nice location, view and prices. Stuff is very helpful as well. Located right by the park entrance so it was very convenient. View at the sunset is amazing. Very quiet place which we like a lot. Good for couples. Rooms layout is a bit weird and uncomfy at first, but you get used to it.
