This hotel was gorgeous. Nestled in the trees with only the soothing sounds of the rainforest, this is a true hideaway. The bungalows were very private, grounds maintained nicely, food was great. Its about a mile and half walk down to the public beaches, but taxis run up and down the rd if your feeling lazy. I for one preferred...

We had a very nice stay at the Hotel. The staff was super friendly and the troop of monkeys that comes by at about 4pm was very cool. Minifridges and safes in the rooms. No dressers though? The restaurant was good and the pool refreshing after a day of fishing. The resort is on a hill with lots of stairs....

Had a bungalow in back - standalone unit so no neighbors. Excellent room - quiet, large, great deck, wifi was a little weak but worked. Just a nice comfortable room back in the jungle. The hotel casino was tiny but it was ok for a little time each night. Sit at the pool around 5pm and watch the monkeys go...

I was on the last floor of the hotel and could see the beach from the balcony. It was very clean and the space was large. I did have a problem with the stairs (I had not told them I had a bad leg). The porters realized it and told Melissa who immediately offered to change me to a bungalow...

If the above description suits you, Byblos is the place for you. The bungalow is roomy, but not all are private. Ours faced the pool area. However, this did not stop our next door neighbor (who banged on the wall after we couldn't wake up to our alarm) from going "all natural" on the porch. Yikes! However, the breakfast is...

We arrived later on a Sunday evening after a long back road drive from San Jose. When we b Elias greeted us and gave us a few tips on dining and later helped us book an amazing guide in the park -Dago. Melissa at the desk was also helpful, pointing out monkeys and gave us other recommendations. My husband and...

Byblos was in a good location and had a lot of perks(casino & bar) but it was out dated and rough around the edges. We first stayed in the main hotel and later upgraded to a bungalow. If you are a couple I suggest the bungalow because its more private. The rooms are clean and do the job but I...

The best feature hands down are the monkeys. They came out to play in the trees around 4pm. We stayed in one of the private bungalows (room 5) and were able watch the monkeys from the comfort of our own balcony. The bungalow rooms have an amazing rustic feel, overlooking a creek that flows through the resort. The rooms include...

Hotel Byblos was a great experience. True, the rooms could use some updating, but the staff was exceptionally friendly and the bar area was fun, providing free Latin dance lessons and a Ladies Nite!! At 3pm everyday, two types of monkeys would swing through the trees surrounding the pool! In a great location, we easily walked the 2km to Manuel...

Staff is friendly and breakfast sufficient but property is a bit worn. The photos shown are of the cabins but our room was in the hotel building (up several flights of steps). The room was OK with working A/C, refrig, microwave. An annoyance, however, was the constant thump from the music in the attached bar (and we were 2 flights...
