We chose this hotel based on the reviews and pictures of it...the hotel is in terrible shape, the rooms are old, poorly maintained, the walkways are dirty. The casino is a a set of old machines that no one touches( why would you anyway). The vies are of their parking Los and in the distance you see the ocean, no...

As one of the acting owners of Hotel Byblos, I sincerely regret that this traveler did not enjoy their stay at Byblos Resort or Manuel Antonio beach (voted one of the top 10 beaches in the world!). At the risk of sounding defensive, I do however feel the need to respond to some of their comments, as it would appear...

This hotel is very close to the forest. Actually, our room looks like in the forest already. We saw monkeys right there. The hotel provides free breakfast. It was really good. The most important is that they offer a very reasonable price.

We just finished a 2 night stay at the Byblos. We would definitely stay again! The staff, all of them (including a maintenance guy, who was always painting) were so wonderful, helpful and welcoming. We felt like we really got a true Costa Rican experience. We had just come from one night at the Los Suenos Marriot, which just felt...

My friend and I spent ages scouring Trip Advisor and other travel sites for the perfect destination in Costa Rica. The research was well worth it, Hotel Byblos and Manuel Antonio was MAGICAL. Traveler profile: Adventurous, thrill seekers, beach lovers, back packers and monkey stalkers First of all, the Manuel Antonio area is jungle fabulous!! It's nestled in a section...

I saw ten times more wildlife here than manuel antonio. if you can afford a villa much better, as the forest is right by your balcony and you will see everything. the restaurant is good, the included breakfast so-so does not include meat only rice and eggs. the fruit smoothies though are delicious and sooooo cheap!

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at Byblos. We had a bungalow room and it was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. After reading a few reviews of this hotel I was a little nervous, but after arriving I was so happy to be there. The staff was very accomodating, helpful, and knowledgable. The hotel is right in the middle...

Beautiful hotel in the tropical rainforest. Rooms are spacious and clean, staff is friendly and attentive, restaurant food is good. Nice pool (small), not handicapped-accessible (many steps), lots of wild-life (monkeys in the trees and on the roof). A good value.

All in all is a good hotel, and good value. The staff is extremely nice (as most of the locals we met), the location is absolutely wonderful, close to the park and the beach, close to restaurants with great views, and the monkey sightings are absolutely awesome. The breakfast (included) every morning was pretty good too. I think the rooms...
